The Costa d'Argento in Maremma - The Villa Mare & Maremma, while situated in a unique nature trail zone, is near to the most distinctive places of Costa d’Argento. About 1.5km far you can reach Albinia, where you can find everything you need for your stay: a supermarket, a pharmacy, the post office, a newsstand, a tobacco shop and a doctor office. Going along the sea, about 13km far, we can find Porto Santo Stefano, located on Monte Argentario promontory, with its famous seaport, the Spanish Fortress, on the seafront the Academy "Sea and Environment" with the Aquarium Mediterraneo of Costa d’Argento, the typical buildings and the chance to perform mini-cruises which will let you discover Giglio Isle, Giannutri and Elba Isle. On the southern side of the promontory we find Porto Ercole, small but distinctive seaport, surrounded by fortifications from '500, Forte Santa Caterina, Forte Filippo e Forte Stella, but also San Erasmo's Church, The Garden and the Villa "Corsini" the exclusive port of Cala Galera. On mount Argentario we can also find the Convent of "Passionisti" , the "Noviziato di San Giuseppe" and going further up "Punta Telegrafo", as well as the panoramic road, which run along the promontory itself, allowing you to enjoy unique landscapes. Nearby the lovely historical centre, we can find the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta (1375), The Museum "Frontone di Talamone", the city walls "Mura Ciclopiche" (V secolo A.C), the Church of "Madonna delle Grazie", the Church of San Giuseppe, the Church of San Francesco da Paola, the Palace of Podestà, the Clock Tower, the access ports to "Porta Medinacoeli" (1697). 4km away we find Talamone, Maremma Natural Park or Uccellina Park. Even the exclusive Capalbio rich of cultural events, is reachable in a few minutes. Other places nearby that are worth a visit are inland zones like Manciano, Pitigliano, Orvieto and obviously Saturnia Thermal Baths.
