A comfortable three bedroom home, situated in one the the most picturesque villages of the Garfagnana. Casa Laura’s accommodation is divided over two floors; the ground floor consists of a lounge including uk satelite television and DVD facilities and study area, a kitchen which incorporates a dining area, a bathroom complete with hydro massaging shower and the twin bedroom. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a five ring gas cooker, granite worktops and in conjunction with the rest of the house its style is a blend of modern and traditional. The bedroom easily accommodates two twin beds and also houses the washing machine. Upstairs you will find two double bedrooms both of which have traditional wooden ceilings and breathtaking views over the valley, a modern bathroom completes the accommodation.  
 
We have a large partly covered terrace area accessible from the first floor and this provides a convivial space for al fresco dining and general relaxing. The swimming pool is of a timber construction (7.35 mtrs x 3.5 mtrs) blending into the environment and the built in wooden bench seating offers a great resting place to dry off after a dip or just to enjoy the views. The house also offers a wood burning pizza oven and off street parking for two cars.  
 
The village is full of character and it's history dates back as far as the 1500's when it was home to one of the most notorious bandits of the region, Il Moro. There is a combined local shop, popular restaurant and bar with an outside terrace providing those all important views.

    • The bed linen and towels, including swimming pool towels are provided within the rental charge and the house is cleaned and linens changed on a weekly basis. Any additional cleaning can be accommodated but will incurr additional costs. The swimming pool is cleaned several times during a week at a mutually convenient time.

    • The area lends itself to walking and for the more active person trekking. Several years ago a series of walking paths and old mule tracks were reopened, they all start and finish at Sillico and vary in length and degree of difficulty.

    A deposit of £100 per week of stay is required to secure the booking together with a completed booking form. The balance is required six weeks prior and can be paid by cheque or bank transfer. A security deposit of £400 is also requested, this being fully refundable at the end of the stay less any agreed damages over the value of £20.
