Vacation Rental Description
Fiorancino is one of the apartment of a restored ancient building. This building has had various uses in the past, accomodating animals, families and pupils, too! It used to be an elementary school, this is why there are old palm trees in the garden (quite unusual in Tuscany countryside!). Now it is a complex with beautiful views on the surrounding countryside that hosts 6 apartments, all tastefully furnished in simple Tuscan country style and a villa. The large garden has tables and chairs, so that you can relax and have breakfast, lunch, aperitivo or dinner alfresco. Not to mention after dinner relax!
Fiorancino is on the first floor, it shares the front door and the stairs with apartment Tuffetto. There is a nice kitchen with dining area, 2 bright, sunny and very large double bedroom, and bathroom with shower. Even from the bathroom the views over the valley are amazing!
Two families wanting to experience Tuscany together while still having privacy can obviously rent Tuffetto and Fiorancino together.
Our beautiful swimming pool, with a shallow end perfect for the children, is situated in our own characteristic olive grove. There is also a BBQ house so you can cook an authentic Fiorentina steak (ask us where to shop)!
This apartment is ideal for 2 couple of friends holidaying together, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during the stay. It is situated in a peaceful and panoramic location, immersed in the green hills of the Parco delle Cerbaie and in the Padule di Fucecchio (unique area where even storks come to nest). It is located in the very heart of Tuscany, with the art cities of Pisa, Lucca, Firenze within very easy reach and many lesser know treasure little towns still to be explored nearby.

There is "Salvia e Rosmarino", a nice country bar / restaurant / pizzeria (also to go) you can walk to.
In Fucecchio there are typical restaurants, pizzerie, wineries, characteristic shops, shopping centres, sports grounds (tennis, golf, horse-back riding facilities).
We prefer to send driving directions depending on the origin of our guests. We are very close to either an exit Firenze Mare A11 to the motorway Firenze-Pisa-Livorno. The airports of Pisa Galileo Galilei (low cost Ryanair) and Florence Peretola are easily reachable in less than an hour.

Facilities
The beds will be made ready for your arrival, and there will be bath towels put out for you. With airlines continuing to cut down on luggage allowances, we will also provide pool towels at 3 euro per piece per week. You can laze on sun loungers by the pool (you have 2 sunchairs, a table and a sunshade there). You can relax in the garden sipping an aperitivo while the tomato sauce boils in the kitchen, then have a nice dinner alfresco. Communal washing machine available, charges are applicable. Internet on demand, charges are applicable. Pool is open according to season (Usually 1st of May-30th September).
Activities
Pinocchio's birthplace is a nice place. If you have kids, the "Pinocchio Park" is the place for you, while everyone will enjoy the Italian gardens of Villa Garzoni and its wonderful butterfly home.
English speaking Melissa manages a horse riding school nearby.

On the penultimate weekend of May the town of Fucecchio hosts the traditional horse race Palio delle Contrade. The Palio delle Contrade is an important kermesse, a sort of commemoration of the Contesa which took place in Fucecchio around 1200. The last Palio performed on June 14th 1863: in that moment, the Giostra was buried, until today, when the twelve contrade give life to this old challenge. It is a day that passionates of traditional festival should not miss: an historical parade takes place in the morning, while the horse race is held in the afternoon, at Buca del Palio. Travel Options

It is in a peaceful and relaxing setting, while still it is very easy to reach it and to visit the masterpieces Tuscany is famous in the world for. A 25% non-refundable deposit is due when booking. Balance to be paid 2 months prior arrival. Please note that full payment will be required for any bookings made within 2 months of the start of the rental date. We can accept bank transfer payments in Euros only. Payments accepted also through credit card (plus 3% credit card charge). The client is recommended to arrange comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellation cover), baggage, personal belongings and public liability etc., as these things are not covered by the owners insurance. Long weekends rate available (except July and August), please enquire. Periods not shown on the price chart: please enquire.

First of all I would like to thank Tiziana for her hospitality. She is so helpful in each areas.
The accommodation is simply perfect. The location of the property is wonderful. A lovely surrounding in the smooth hills of Tuscany. Everything is made new and tastefully furnished. Also there are all necessary contents (Kitchen etc.) in the apartment. It's a huge property with a fantastic swimming-pool, deck-chairs, sunshades and all things for a nice day at the pool. You can also walk around and admire the surrounding. For the car there is a enough parking place. And all that is fenced with an electrical gate for entrance and exit.
We love it very much and we will come back!!!
