Vacation Rental Description

Prispolone is one of the apartment of a restored country building. It has had various uses in the past, accomodating animals, families and pupils, too! It used to be the elementary school for this part of the country. Now it is a complex with beautiful views on the surrounding countryside that hosts 6 apartments, all tastefully furnished in a simply rustic Tuscan style.
Just in front of the door, there is a very nice part of the garden. It is provided with garden forniture, so that you can relax and have breakfast, lunch, aperitivo and dinner alfresco. Not to mention after dinner relax!
On the ground floor there is a large entrance. A marble stairway leads to the first floor where there is the dining area and kitchen, 2 bright double bedrooms and bathroom with shower. On the second floor, there is the attic (minimum height 1,4 m): large living-room with double sofa-bed, 1 double room and 1 sigle room, bathroom with shower. All the windows have mosquito nets. Do not forget we are in the country!
Our beautiful swimming pool, with a shallow end perfect for the children, is situated in our own characteristic olive grove. There is also a BBQ house if you want to enjoy a truly home made Fiorentina steak (we can give you tips about where to go shopping for very good meat and how to cook a steak)!
This apartment is loved by groups of friends and large families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during the stay. Usually the adults stay on the first floor, while the kids enjoy the mansarde all for themselves. LA SCUOLA Holiday Home is situated in a peaceful and panoramic location, as it is right inside the Parco delle Cerbaie and in the Padule di Fucecchio (unique area where even storks come to nest). It is located in the heart of Tuscany, with the art cities of Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Vinci, Firenze within very easy reach and many lesser know treasures still to be explored nearby.

A nice bar / restaurant / pizzeria (also to go) is conveniently located less than 1 km away (pleasant walk) nice bar / restaurant / pizzeria. Different typical trattorias are less than 10 minutes away.
5 minute easy drive to town and well stocked shops. In Fucecchio there are typical restaurants, pizzerie, wineries, characteristic shops, shopping centres, sports grounds (tennis, golf, horse-back riding facilities).

The beds will be made ready for your arrival, and there will be towels put out for you. With airlines continuing to cut down on luggage allowances, we will also provide pool towels at 3 euro per piece. You can laze on sun loungers by the pool (you have 2 sun lougers, a table and a sunshade there). You can relax in the garden sipping an aperitivo while the tomato sauce boils in the kitchen, then have a nice pasta dinner alfresco, sipping good Chianti red wine. Communal washing machine available, charges are applicable. Internet on demand, charges are applicable. Pool is open according to season (Usually 1st of May-30th September).

We are in a very quiet countryside, very easy to reach (no white roads) but not in the middle of nowhere. In less than 1 hour you can reach almost every tourist destination in Tuscany like Pisa, Collodi (Pinocchio's birthplace), Pistoia, Florence, Vinci, Lucca, Montecatini Terme, San Miniato, Certaldo, San Gimignano and, why not, the seaside of Versilia.
At walking distance there is a nice bar/restaurant/pizzeria (also to go), at 3 kms there is a grocery shop open until 12PM, while in Fucecchio (5kms) there all the shops you might need, there is also a brand new PRADA outlet shop.
We will make sure you have all the infomation about what is going on around you. Leaflets and city maps (and tips) will be given at your arrival.

On the penultimate weekend of May the town of Fucecchio hosts the traditional horse race Palio delle Contrade. The Palio delle Contrade is an important kermesse, a sort of commemoration of the Contesa which took place in Fucecchio around 1200. The last Palio performed on June 14th 1863: in that moment, the Giostra was buried, until today, when the twelve contrade give life to this old challenge. It is a day that passionates of traditional festival should not miss: an historical parade takes place in the morning, while the horse race is held in the afternoon, at Buca del Palio.

It is in a peaceful and relaxing setting, while still it is very easy to reach it and to visit the masterpieces Tuscany is famous in the world for. A 25% non-refundable deposit is due when booking. Balance to be paid 2 months prior arrival. Please note that full payment will be required for any bookings made within 2 months of the start of the rental date. We can accept bank transfer payments in Euros only. Payments accepted also through credit card (plus 3% credit card charge). Daily rates (minimun 3 nights) available (except July and August), please enquire. Periods not shown on price charts: please enquire. IMPORTANT: For children up to 2 years we supply FOR FREE baby bed with linens, baby chair, baby bath, changing mat and eating and cutlery sets. WC reducers available for older children. We strongly encourage you to take out appropriate travel insurance. This will protect you in the event of medical emergency, loss of passports or luggage, flight cancellation or cancellation due to illness.
