Il Fienile, a charming two (2) bedroom newly restored barn on a hillside between Poggio a Caiano and Carmignano in an area renowned for its DOCG Carmignano wine and traditional Tuscan dishes, 18 km (11 miles) northwest of Florence.
Il Fienile is a fully refurbished 1000 sq ft (90sqm) old barn with an extension in glass offering picture postcard views of the Tuscan hills, with olive groves and vineyards sloping down from the property furnished with genuine Tuscan pieces throughout.
The ground floor boasts a lounge with fireplace and ample seating, a spacious dining area with large glass floor-to-ceiling windows offering beautiful views towards the olives grove sand, a fully comprehensive kitchen (microwave, oven, 4 gas burners, dishwasher and all cooking utilities and chinaware).
A large shower-room and utility room with washing machine complete the ground floor.
On the first floor there are two bright double bedrooms and a shower-room with windows throughout offering far-reaching scenic views.
Amenities include independent central heating and air-conditioning plus telephone installation for P.C.
Il Fienile was just restored by the owners who have an adjoining property on the grounds.
Location
Carmignano is 4 minutes by car. This beautiful unspoiled little town has cafes, bars, trattorias, a post office, a tourist information centre, a chemist and traditional local shops i.e. fruit and vegetable stores, butcher, bakers and a delightful old-recepies pastry shop for those with a sweet tooth!
Seano is a 3 minutes drive and has a large supermarket, bars, delicious ice-cream and all the rest.
Poggio a Caiano, 8 minutes by car, is mostly famous for the beautiful Villa Medicea and its surrounding park.
Artimino is 15 minutes by car and is the quintessential Tuscan hilltop unspoiled village selling local DOCG wines and other Tuscan delights. A short walk from the village is the '100 chimneys Villa Medicea' where the Medici family used to spend much of their time during the hunting season.
Vinci, birth place of Leonardo da Vinci, is only 30 minutes by car.
Daytrips are abundant and include Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia, and San Gimignano. The beaches of Versilia and Forte dei Marmi are only one hour away from the close-by motorway while skiing is also easily accessible in the winter as the "Abetone" (over 50km of runs across four valleys) is 1.5 hours away.
Golf: the Arnold Palmer course of La Pavoniere is less than 10 minutes by car.

The price includes all extras such as final cleaning, linens & bath towels, utilities, including central heating and air-conditioning.
Payment terms:
Cost : Euros 100 per day. Agreement on long periods.
