The Frantoio delle Grazie accommodation is a pleasant and relaxing alternative to visit Florence outside the city itself. The Frantoio delle Grazie is only 5 minutes drive from the A1 highway exit “Firenze Sud” (South Florence); The hill of Settignano is the natural frame for this panoramic area protected by Italian Superintendency of Cultural Heritage and Environment. Its natural surrounding is dominated by olive groves, vineyards, cypresses and oak-trees. It is only 3 Km from Florence historical city centre; nearest shopping centre is far only 1 Km. The Villa is a traditional Florentine countryside home: its structure goes back to the XVIth Century. The recent restoration has maintained its original aspect and joined the ancient character together with modern amenities. The charming Florentine atmosphere of Il Frantoio delle Grazie is revealed through the use of typical Tuscan materials as stone, terracotta tiles, beams showing and wrought iron. The interior decoration and the choice of furniture (ancient and period pieces) are in harmony with the regional taste. Every detail has been studied to let you enjoy a pleasant and elegant welcome. The ancient rural rooms, such as the grindstone for olives and the wine cellar, have retained their historical charme.

"Melograni" is a bright and elegant flat disposed on two levels: on the ground floor there is a comfortable sitting room with double sofa bed; on the upper floor you enter through an access room to the spacious bedroom, the kitchen and the bathroom with shower. Il Frantoio est une maison qui a beaucoup de charmes. Ce bâtiment ancien a été rénové avec beaucoup de goût et de soins dans les détails (lampes de chevet tiffany, guéridon pour jeux d'échecs...) Notre appartement Fichi était situé à l'étage et en occupait la moitié (côté piscine).
Nombreux endroits agréables: salon extérieur, piscine et chaises longues, tables pour barbecue.
La piscine ne convient pas pour des enfants ne sachant pas nager car elle a une bonne profondeur partout.
Très propre et soigné ( extérieurs bien entretenus, piscine nettoyée chaque matin). Endroit calme et vert.
Le centre de Florence à moins d'une heure à pied puis en bus, et l'autoroute à 5 min pour rayonner dans la région, c'est pratique.
Le propriétaire et ses aides sont très gentils et en même temps discrets ce qui est très bien.
Très bon contacts par mail puis téléphone avant d'arriver.
Vous pouvez réserver en toute confiance.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautifully renovated property.Even though there was full occupancy (i.e. several families) we had the pool to ourselves almost all of the time. Our two children loved it and so did my wife and i even though we got dozens of mosquito bites each (take all the preventative measures you can think of!).
Simone was the most attentive and helpful owner you could wish for - my wife had severe jaw ache for 6 days and became too bad that we sought emegency help (doctors and dentist in the middle of the night are difficult to come by with very little italian!) Within 2 minutes of being contacted Simone had rung his brother, father and cousins for advice and booked us with their family dentist within the hour (which happened to be their day off!) the surgeon was miles better than any british dentist and my wife had emergency repair work for an infected root canal giving her jaw free pain until we returned home - and all thanks to Simone.

This villa is in a perfect location for a peacful Tuscan break in the countryside and yet 10 minutes from Florence city centre.
The Villa itself is beautifully decorated and very comforatable. Outside there is a magnificent pool looking down across Tuscan hills.
I couldn't recooment this villa more for location and beauty.
What makes it even more special is the service of the owners for who NOTHING was a problem Simone was full of advice, help and tips and was always on the end of a phone - he even gave us his car to pop to the supermarket in!!
We shall return again soon.
