casa mazzoli is situated in a peaceful corner of chianti.It is near the cosmopolitan villages of Panzano(3km) and Greve(8km) where you can find wine bars and restaurants.The position is perfect in the heart of the region,but only 28km from Florence and 28km from Siena.Casa Mazzoli has existed since the 12th century and the building dates back to the 15th century.The villa has been restored with a gentle hand.All the rooms are furnished comfortably,in a very pleasant country style.Cotto floors,original wooden beamed ceilings and a beautiful fireplace in the kitchen add to the charm of the fresh and tranquil atmosphere.Large patio with seating for "al fresco" dining,and wood burning pizza oven.There is a 5x10m swimming pool for the exclusive use of the guests,in a private,enclosed area with a beautiful array of plants.The owners are Michele,italian and Eva,danish.They have lived in the villa untill 10 years ago and have left most of the furniture,so it feels like a real home.They are now living in the nearby self contained barn.

    • It is possible to visit my sons vineyard for a winetasting.In Panzano,3km away,you'll find a little supermarket,shops wine bars and restaurants.There is also a bus for Florence,leaving every hour.In Panzano there is a little market sunday morning. there is a beautiful golfcourse 2o km away.Ugolino golf close to Florence.
