Terracotta laden 12th century villa in the ancient village of Saint Vito of Ortimino, is just six kilometers from the town of Montespertoli; in an unspoiled, laid-back region of the Chianti countryside. Seasonal festivals celebrating the local truffles, the grape harvest and fresh pressed olive oil are magnificent to experience. Renaissance Florence, just 35 kilometers northeast, is available by scheduled buses; or short drives while nearby hill towns include Siena, San Gimignano, Certaldo and Vinci.
This charming, completely restored sacristy with its landscaped fauna and rose gardens, part of a larger borgo is in a secure gated community which lies on top of a beautiful Tuscan hillside, with sweeping panoramic views of this exquisite countryside dotted with olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees. A hill top walk surrounding the submerged valley before stopping at the Panchetti bakery for a warm loaf of bread is a must!
The inviting first floor living area with its hewn post and beam construction is nicely decorated with warm colors that reflect the local landscape, comfortable modern furniture and a sculpted stone fireplace. Satellite TV offers world wide coverage and films in multiple languages. The gourmet eat-in kitchen with its hand-crafted walnut cabinetry, travertine countertops, high-tech stainless appliances and professional cookery encourage all epicureans and not to try a hand at Tuscan cooking. How can you resist the smell of the fresh basil, rosemary and sage that emanate from the garden? The antique communal harvest table will draw in your guests…Mangia, anyone?
On the second floor, Casa Alina offers two spacious antiquated and bedrooms featuring hand-forged iron beds and new, luxurious king/queen sized bedding with pressed hotel style linens. A third double bedroom accomodates additonal guests. A comfortable pull-out couch in the living area can accommodate a fifth guest. You are sure to get a great night’s rest after a tough day in one of the most beautiful places on earth---

Casa Alina has two immaculate full bathrooms and a separate laundry area with washer and dryer. Central air runs throughout the house and the bedrooms are climate controlled. The patios have comfortable outdoor furniture and barbeque which encourage you to dine al fresco on warmer days. The house is outfitted with almost anything you might need during your stay, including ironing board, iron, American coffee maker, Espresso machine, juicer, blender, American electrical outlets (for your hairdryer), telephone, fax machine, DVD and portable crib. A large parking area lies directly in front of the village.
