Vacation Rental Description
Our guest apartment “Casa Nonna” has about 36m² and consists of a small bed room with double bed, living room with studio couch and open fireplace, well equipped kitchen with stove with oven and bathroom (shower). It offers place for up to 4 persons. A lovely sun terrace with view on the valley belongs and a second one on the other side of the house for the morning sun belongs to it. Ca. 400 m² lawn. Bed-linen inclusive
To the houses belongs a large lawn for playing, sun bathing, relaxing and to recover from the trips to the cultural centres, as well as a sauna. There is a sand-pit and a little playing house. In summer we build up a somewhat bigger paddling pool.
For year round comfort, the accommodation features wood central heating and during the summer months we use a solar hot water system. We moreover are producing solar electricity, so that our houses are carbon neutrally operated.

Facilities
In our sparsely populated area, you will have wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. While enjoying the nature and silence hiking or bike riding you can discover the abundant flora and fauna. The surrounding consists of mainly oak, beech or chestnut forest, bordered with tilled and fallow fields . Wonderful refreshing swimming hole in the local river only 10 min. by car.
Chiusi della Verna: Saint Francis of Assisi lived in the monastery and received his stigmata.
Activities
Hiking, walking and moutainbiking, visiting the weekly markets in the local towns, tours of the panoramic surroundings, explore medieval churches, castles and monasteries (Chiusi della Verna, Camaldoli)
Sightseeing (day tours): Arezzo, Florence, Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Adriatic coast (e.g. Cesenatico, Rimini, independent state of San Marino). Many regional cultural events like food specialities, open air cinema, concerts, theatre, expositions, circus in summer. Poppi (a beautiful medieval small town where Dante stayed and was inspired to his "Divine comedy"): language school (Italian lessons) and golf course.
In autumn you can find mushrooms (e.g. porcini) and chestnuts.
