Review Title : 259065 - "Canadians"
"Stayed in the lovely villa in September 2008. Fantastic location, very easy getting around from this home base. Nearby towns offer everything "Italian" you'd need/want. Will be coming back in the future.

When we planned this trip to Italy, we wanted everything to be perfect. We wanted a nice place, with a nice view. What we had here was beyond what we imagined, from the amazing and beautiful lake to the perfectly decorated villa. Thanks you Sue, for making our vacation so much better than what we thought it would be. But most of all, thanks, Sue for the warm welcome, the patience when we called you for help.

What a wonderful place to spend Easter. We found the villa a perfect setting to return to after many early morning departures with late night returns. Great location for experiencing the Tuscany area. Thanks.

When we were looking for an accommodation in the Umbria area, we came upon this beautiful villa. The pictures were inviting, but when we showed up it was even more beautiful. Unfortunately we didn’t have the best weather but it was a cozy area inside which made dinners and breakfast very pleasant. We had a wonderful time exploring the area. The kitchen was well equipped which made it easy to make tasty dinners!. Thanks for a great stay. Ciao!

What absolute bliss to be surrounded by beauty for a week! From panoramic views to stunning historical towns and villages, not to mention the food and wine. We have loved every minute of it. Many thanks, Sue, we hope to be back!

It’s really “una casa bellissima” and we passed some days together in harmony and calmness – really great days and we’re sad to leave. Good luck for Mrs. Hill and thank you for your kindness.

A great week relaxing in beautiful surroundings. The view from the terrace is fabulous and the weather was warm and sunny. Lovely time had by all including our youngest (6 month old Jamie). Hope to return one day.

Granny escapes to Tuscany
Having lived in London all my adult life, I did the one thing people tell you not to do: sold my London house in a week and bought these two houses and land. I have to say that it was carefully vetted by my three sons and their wives, who thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to have a family home in Tuscany, but luckily I have never regretted it even for a second, and the 9 grandchildren, when they come think it's the best place ever.
The Italians are so friendly, welcoming and endlessly helpful. And have I needed their help! There is always something that needs fixing, from the mundane of a blocked dishwasher to the 'exotic' of an errant herd of 50 sheep who decided to take up residence in the olive grove. It turned out that they had come from 2 miles away!
The big bonus is the guests who come here, from all over the world. This is a marvellously peaceful place in which to relax, but there are also so many places to visit. People have lived here for 1000 years or more, and Perugia, for instance, mainly medieval, is built on Etruscan foundations. The Italians love their history, and every village has an event in the summer months to celebrate, when they dress up in medieval costumes and enact historical events. Music too, they love. Local and well known international players perform in all the towns during the summer in the local churches or outside in the piazzas. It's a true delight. Then there is the food - the Italian love eating and they cook things in season so you eat porcini collected that day from the woods, and (sadly) the most delicious beef steaks with truffles from the local farm. I have been so lucky in finding a very special corner of Italy in which to live, and it is brilliant when other people can come and gather their own experiences from it.
