Vacation Rental Description

The southeast of the province of Arezzo, in the “Val Tiberina” (Tibervalley) is the location of the village Caprese Michelangelo, surrouded by other counties (frazioni). The house stands in the oldest part of the village Lama, at one kilometer from Caprese (the native village of Michelangelo Buonarotti).
Like the major part of the houses in this area, our house is built of natural stone jointed with lime and sand. The ceilings consist of chesnut beams and antique terracotta tiles. In contrast to other traditional farmhouses in Tuscany, the rooms are spacious and have big windows.
From the loggia one sees the hills and the confluence of two brooks.
The house, which has three floors , has been completely renovated recently and stylishly furnished; large kitchen room, sitting room and toilet at the first floor; two spacious bed-rooms, hall, shower, toilet, washing stand and bidet at the second floor; washroom and sunny terrace with loungechairs at the ground floor.
All modern comfort supplied (central heating, satellite-T.V., Hi-Fi-equipment).

The house is located in woody surroundings with many walking and cycling routes, beautiful renaissance villages (especially Aghiari is spectacular), monasteries (La Verna is the monastery built around the cave of Saint Francis) and culturally interesting cities at a short travel distance (Perugia 80 Km, Florence 160 Km). Daytrips to the beach (Rimini) and the Trasimeno lake are possible. Many popular restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The village can be easily reached over a tollfree motorway (E45). The distance to cultural highlights in Tuscany, Umbria and Le Marche is nearly equal from Lama.
