Because the Mill is constructed of stone it keeps cool in the summer, but in the winter you have central heating + an open wood fire to keep you warm. The Mill is very near to all local facilities including restaurants and bars.

On driving to the Mill you will pass the famous medieval bridge Ponte della Maddelina. Lucca is a famous medieval town inside its own defensive walls which are still intact, there are Cathederals, Churches, Shops, Restaurants, Bars and Market just a 15 minute drive from the Mill. We are only 5mins from Bagni di Lucca, famous for its medieval spa's which are still used for relaxing skin treatments. There is an outdoor public pool with sunbathing area, cafe, tennis courts, horse riding and canoeing on the fast flowing river 5 minutes away! The fantastic Leaning Tower of Pisa is just 45minutes away, and the wonders of Florence are only an hours drive or take advantage of the local trains. Viarregio's golden sandy beaches are just 35minutes away. The Mill has wifi connection, travel cot, highchair, zbed, hairdryers in ensuites, electric blankets (for cold winter nights) Pool towels are available if required.
