DETAILS FOR BED & BREAKFAST:
Casa Marchi has three beautifully appointed double bedrooms with fully furnished shower rooms en-suite, as well as two connecting single rooms with adjoining shower room.
All rooms are comfortable and have lovely bed linen, and the shower rooms have an abundance of hot water.
Acivities in the Area
Included in the tariff is a delicious and filling home-cooked Tuscan breakfast to set you up for the day.
Small pets are welcome by arrangement only.
Safe parking is available at the main village parking area.
DETAILS FOR SELF-CATERING:
First Floor - a charming stone terrace is lined with a superb collection of Japanese potted Maples. Wrought iron garden furniture seats ten comfortably for those relaxing sundowners.
Accommodation consists of an entrance hall from the terrace leading to to a large dining room on the right with a magnificent elm and oak table that will seat 10 people. There is a centrally placed log fire with an abundance of wood for those cooler nights.
To the left of the dining room is a professional stainless-steel kitchen with a six-burner cooker with extractor and a large oven. There is also an eye-level grill, microwave etc. and a scullery area with dishwasher, sinks and fridge freezer.
A comfortable lounge area with wireless internet and printer is available. There is also separate WC on this floor.
A lovely wooden staircase leads you to the second floor where the bedrooms are situated.
Bedrooms - 3 beautiful double bedrooms with their own en-suite shower rooms.
2 single adjoining rooms with their own en-suite shower room.
Quality bed linen is provided, plus 1 x hand towel and 1 x bath towel per person. Additional towels can be provided for a small charge. All shower rooms have a shaver point (adaptors needed), hairdryers.
Accessibility - Unfortunately Casa Marchi is not suitable for wheelchair users as the property has a stone stairway leading to the entrance and patio garden. There is no lift within the house.
Parking - Guests can unload at the top car park situated just 20 metres from Casa Marchi, through the bottom archway. There is a general car park below the village for parking once you have unloaded.

Roy is a member of the Slow Food Movement which originated in Italy, which has inspired his love of Italian food.
His aim is to pass on his passion and enjoyment for cooking. With Roy's expertise and enthusiasm you can reproduce these skills in your own home and increase your cooking repertoire. Cooking classes can be tailor-made for you or for small groups. They are hands on and great fun, guaranteed to take any fear out of cooking.
Morning session: €200 per person
Afternoon session: €200 per person
Students will prepare and cook their own delicious 3-course lunch / dinner.

Prato Fiorito: Literal translation, a meadow of flowers. An hour to walk to the top for the most spectacular views of the surrounding area.
At the start of the walk you find a superb Gesso Sculpture of Christ on the Cross. In spring Prato Fiorito is carpeted with wild flowers.
Ponte della Maddalena: Better known as 'The Devils Bridge', a remarkable example of medieval engineering built circa 1101.
Circa 1500 it took on the name of Ponte della Maddalena, from an oratory dedicated to Mary Magdalene, whose statue stood at the foot of the bridge on the eastern bank.
Bagni Di Lucca is a Spa town situated on the banks of the river Lima, an ancient spa dating back to 2nd century when some Romanisation of the area took place. Many restaurants and bars are in the town, and it even has a tiny theatre. Aristocrats from England included this area in their Grand Tours of Europe so they could "Take the Waters", which were reputed to be excellent for the constitution.
