Vacation Rental Description
Casa dei due Mori is a delightful restored farmhouse with a private pool and amazing views of the Sibillini Mountains and the hill top villages reaching down towards the coast. Just 4km from the pretty village of Sant'Angelo in Pontano, it is ideally placed for exploring the area. The house has been furnished and equipped to a high standard. Whether you want a chilled-out holiday watching the kites soar in the sky as you lounge by the 12m pool, or to visit the medieval towns of Macerata, Sarnano or Ascoli Piceno, Casa dei due Mori is the house for you. Enjoy cooking in the designer kitchen and choose whether to eat looking at the Sibillini Mountains or to gaze at the panoramic views of the hill top hamlets. Relax in the light and airy lounge or take a coffee on the veranda - it's all there for you to enjoy.
Casa dei due Mori is surrounded by its own gardens which lead down to the stunning private pool. Measuring 12m by 4m the pool has gentle walk-down steps, a shallow end and a deep end suitable for diving. There is an underwater bench so you can sit and admire the views. The surrounding terrace has a range of sun beds and loungers, umbrellas and a shaded area. The gardens are partly formal with plants designed to give colour all year, and meadow grass and trees.
We started the Casa dei due Mori restoration project in 2006. The house has been restored as our second home, so includes more in the way of gadgets and facilities than might be expected in a normal investment property including a Sonos sound system with over 12,000 tracks. The kitchen is very modern, light and airy. Two steps lead to the large dining area and to the outside eating areas. The lounges are comfortable and the woodburning stoves allow for extra cosiness in the winter months. The bedrooms are well furnished with very comfortable beds, fitted sheets and a range of covers for the cooler nights. But in the summer months, the pool is the place to be. With a white lining, the pool reflects the true blue of the sky - Casa dei due Mori is a little oasis of calm and contentment.

The Sibillini mountains and national park provide splendid scenery and hiking. During the winter skiing is often available around Sarnano (about 30 minutes drive) depending on the weather.
Markets take place weekly in many nearby towns and villages - the area is famous for its high quality leather (shoes and clothes); there are some high fashion outlets in and around Macerata.
Local villages run "sagras" - community run festas - and medieval/historical events (such as San Ginesio's Palio, and the re-enactment of the Battaglia della Fornarino) throughout the year, as well as running local concerts and theatre events.
