Casa Sibillini is a small family run Bed and Breakfast based in the historic centre of Montefortino. A commune within the Sibillini National Park who’s origins date back more than 1000 years. With 20 peaks over 2000 mts. - 6500 ft. it provides an ideal base for walkers wishing to explore the many beautiful mountains trails or the 120 km. long “Grande Anello” circular walk. Walks are graded from T to EEA providing walkers of different abilities with a challenging itinerary. As we are open 360 days a year there are good opportunities for those interested in winter walking, cross country skiing and snowboarding. For mountain bike riders there are several outstanding routes including 14 circular rides up to 50 kms long. From our location above the village there are many splendid views across the medieval rooftops to Monte Sibilla, Monte Priora, Monte Amandola the Madonna dell’Ambro and the peaks beyond. Within a few minutes drive is the spectacular gorge of the Gola dell’Infernaccio.
For those seeking a less energetic break Montefortino offers painters a wonderful range of subjects. The village, which is considered to be amongst the most authentic in the Marche is unspoilt retaining its original medieval layout and character.
Montefortino is also home to the Pinacoteca Duranti museum which opened in Palazzo Leopardi in1997. The collection includes several important paintings by Corrado Giaquinto and Pietro Alemanno together with a number of religious artefacts dating from the 13th century.
Further afield the costal Towns of Porto S. Giorgio and San Benedetto del Tronto offer an excellent range of seafood restaurants and the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the sea! Le Marche is a centre for shoe making and several factory outlets including Tods, Prada and Geox are located near by.

The area has breathtaking views of hill top medieval towns with the backdrop of the mountains. From the Apennine National Park of the Sibillini the Adriatic coast can be reached in less then 45 min. Winter sports are skiing, snowboarding and cross country. In the summer the Grande Anello, a circular route in the National Park, offers many walks at all levels of difficulties. For the shopaholics there are many outlets like Prada, Armani, Toads and Geox. The restaurants and wine are wholesome and hard to resist.
