THE LOCATION
If we had to describe where we are in two words it would be "REAL ITALY". The town is set 25 minutes from the blue flag beaches of Grottammare and San Benedetto del Tronto on the Adriatic coast and the National Park of the Sibillini mountains which is popular with walkers and hikers alike. It is not on the main tourist trail so very few people in the area speak English which really is half the fun of being here! The town is surrounded by stunning countryside of typical rolling Italian hills that rival Tuscany (and in our opinion the views are even better than Tuscany)!
There are wide palm fringed promenades and a very good selection of seafood restaurants and cafe bars along the coast offering wonderful food to meet all budgets.
Eating out in our part of the region is incredibly cheap. Expect to pay about 10 Euros a head at the local pizzeria including starter, main course and wine.
If you have a big appetite we can book a incredible restaurant nearby where you will tuck into 10 to 12 starters, pasta, meat course, dessert, coffee, wine, liquors for about 18 Euros a head so you might want to have a very light lunch! A holiday in this region really is a gastronomic delight.
