5 Bedroom Villa in Macerata

On the slopes of Monte Primo, in the heart of the loveliest part of the Marches, there is a small village called Costa San Severo, home to three people: there is Bice, our single neighbour, and us - Mary and Uli. There are two small farmers from the next village who work the land and keep a few animals. That's all. The asphalted road leading up to Costa ends a few yards past our Guest house and turns into a hiking path that leads up the mountain. 
This is a place in which our guests can find rest and quiet, but from which they - if they wish - can also visit countless lovely old towns and villages, each which its own character. Nature lovers can walk or hike (or, in winter if there is snow, ski) and find the treasures of our nature: rare flowers, never-seen birds or spectacular butterflies. Those who prefer more vigorous exercise can mountain bike, do rock climbing, swim in the cold mountain lakes nearby. And then there are always the stunning views of the Sybilline Mountains, the valley of Camerino and the mountains opposite. For lovers of history and culture there are the ancient towns of Camerino, Matelica, or San Severino, or Visso, or, or, or... 
There is - according to our modest opnion - no better place in the Marches, and therefore in all of Italy for a tired man or woman to rest, or for an adventurous man or woman to have new experiences! The friendly people all around us will be happy to help them with any enquiry and in any situation. 
 
Our Guest house is a rebuilt old farm house from the 18th century and consists of two units. There is the "Apartment", for single persons or parties of 2 or 3, which is fully self contained with bedroom(s), a fully equipped kitchen, bath and living (spare bedroom) in all ca. 70 m2. Larger parties can rent the entire house (ca. 200 m2), i.e. the Apartment plus another two double bedrooms, a smaller double and a single bedroom under the roof, and a shared bathroom. The whole house is tastefully arranged and appointed and will satisfy also demanding guests with it's unique ambiente. 
Fulfilling a wish often placed before us by our guests we do NOT offer a pool, nor telephone/internet connection or TV. (Most people who like to keep up with things anyway bring their mobile, iPod or Notepad.) There IS, however, a CD player and a fairly large library in several languages. 
Whichever your rental arrangement, there is ample opportunity to sit outside in the loggia with a view of the mountain. There is a garage for a medium sized car. 
We never rent the two units to different parties, so you will always be our only guest(s) whether you come alone or with nine friends!

The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge, dishwasher and all other utensils, the bathrooms have shower and bidet. The entire house is centrally heated (gas heating in the Apartment, pellet heating in the rest of the Guest house).

An excellent and very reasonably priced restaurant at 10 min drive. More good restaurants in the further surroundings. 
Hiking can begin at your front door! 
Biking only for experienced bikers as this is very mountainous terrain, but mountain bikers really can get their fill. 
The Adriatic beaches are at 1 hr. drive. 
Swimming in the Sports center of the Camerino University (olympic sized pool), 10 min, and in the mountain lakes where there are lovely small beaches, ideal for children, and where the water is clean and refreshing (1 hr.) 
Rockclimbing after arrangement with the local club at 10 min. distance. 
There are various discos in Camerino and other towns (20 min. and further). 
Concert seasons in summer and winter (Camerino). 
Europe's largest and most spectacular limestone caves (Frassassi) at 1 hr. 
Museums (Art, Archeological and Narural History) in Camerino, Matelica, San Severino and various smaller towns in the vicinity.
