Vacation Rental Description
Casal dei Fichi has been carefully designed from 2 farmhouses to create six large luxury one and two bed apartments, with high quality sofa beds for accommodating larger parties, each apartment has a private garden or terrazza (with table and chairs for outside dining)set in landscaped grounds with a 15m heated pool. We are situated in the beautiful countryside of central Marche 30 minutes from the blue flag Adriatic beaches, 45 minutes from the awesome Sibillini mountains and within an hour of Ancona airport. Each apartment is named after a famous Marchigiano and is furnished to a very high standard whilst retaining their own individual character and features. Each lounge has 2 comfortable sofas (some of which can be converted into full sized double beds), TV, DVD and stereo.
The modern kitchens with oak cabinets and granite work surfaces are all equipped with full oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee makers and all the cooking utensils you'd expect to find at home. The bedrooms have queen size, large twins or Emperor (3m wide!)beds and the bathrooms have large luxury showers. The apartments are cleaned weekly with fresh bedlinen, towels and pool towels provided.
The thick brick walls provide excellent insulation and each double glazed window is equipped with fly screens and external shutters which make the apartments cool and airy in the hot summer months. Each apartment also benefits from full central heating and four of them have traditional brick built fireplaces.
Casal dei Fichi stands on the southern slope of a small valley in a hectare of landscaped gardens, orchards and olive trees. By the house are several large fig trees, fichi, which are abundant with fruit in June and October. We are surrounded by mixed farmland of sunflowers, corn, vines, olives and woodland.
The building has been carefully restored to retain the character of the house with its original Sienna terracotta roof, wooden beams and tiled floors.
The 15m heated pool is boarded by a large decked area equipped with sun loungers and shades, here.you can sip a cocktail, relax in the sun or simply soak up the inspirational views of hilltop towns, rolling country and the Siblini mountains. In addition to a private garden for each apartment there are extensive landscaped gardens where you can find sun, shade or tranquillity under the pergola or in a hammock among the fig, olive and walnut trees. Help yourself to our seasonal produce of vegetables, pick from the herb garden or find fruit in the orchard. The original brick bread oven is ideal for our weekly summer pizza evenings and there are several barbeque areas.
Casal dei Fichi is a short walk from the small town of Francavilla d'Ete which has a selection of shops, bars and an excellent and relaxed restaurant which is a great favourite of both the locals and our guests.
Facilities
In the gounds there are several BBQ areas together with an original brick pizza oven which we use each week at our complementary pizza party where you get the chance to make and share your own pizza! There is an orchard, vegetable garden and herb garden, you are encouraged to take freely each day to make a delicious lunch or dinner. Each kitchen is FULLY FITTED which means you will find all the utensils/equipment you'd expect to find at home - a dishwasher, coffeemaker, full oven and hob, microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer and granite worktops. Gourmet olive break
In November you can take a fully inclusive 4 day break designed to give you a fascinating introduction to the autumn highlights of Le Marche. With the backdrop of the olive harvest you will gain an insight into the cultivation and production of the finest olive oils whilst enjoying delicious regional dishes at a carefully selected range of restaurants. The weekend includes an afternoon at an award winning vineyard where you will be introduced to top Marchigiani wines and learn about their production. You will spend a morning cooking with top academy chef Guida Stacchietti and eat your gourmet lunch at the eclectic Il Maniero art club.
All costs are included eg meals, wine, tours and transport except flights. Please see the full description and dates on website.

Availability calendar reflects all 6 apartments, if availability is shown at least one apartment is still available. In high season bookings are usually Saturday to Saturday. However, we usually reserve some apartments for mid-week arrivals and shorter stays - please enquire. 20% deposit payable on booking with remainder due 8 weeks before stay. Payment by cheque, bank transfer or paypal. Cancellation Policy: Up to 57 days prior to arrival date - 100% deposit 43-56 days - deposit plus 50% of balance payment 29-42 days - deposit plus 75% of balance payment Arrival date - 28 days - 100% Booking terms and conditions: full details are available on request and will be issued at the time of reservation.
