5 Bedroom Bed and Breakfast in Cupramontana

Long before the tv programs like "Going South" ever existed, Isabelle and Erik realised their Italian dream in the Region The Marches, Italians best kept secret. They restored an old farmhouse in Cupramontana into an idyllic place. Sleeping under ancient beams, taking breakfast with the stunning view on the Marchiganian hills and the mountain Monte San Vicino, swinging slowly in the hammocks under the fragrant acacia trees, swimming in our pool ....., la Girandola is the right place to be! 
In 2012 our B&B celebrates its 10th birthday! On our website we will keep you informed of the possible offers. 
Also we rent scooters. Walks in nature and swimming in the sea or the Cingoli lake are possible. 
We have 3 guestrooms and one selfcatering apartment, surrounded by a garden (0,5 ha.) and a pool. A common room with fridge offers our B&B guests the possibility to prepare their own picknick.

The word la Girandola means the weathervane, at the entrance of our B&B and self-catering apartment. Our guests come all over the places, just as our vane is turning around.

Beach: 
Those who enjoy the sea, will be glad to have it nearby. After half an hour driving, you'll walk on the beach of Senigallia or take a swim in the Adriatic near the reserve of the Monte Conero. Nearby (15min), the lake of Cingoli offers you swimming facilities and waterfans will also appreciate the Aquapark Eldorado in Apiro. 
 
Mountains: 
Close to us you will find the Monte San Vicino (1500m), a splendid place to take a walk. If you like it higher, we recommand you the Monti Sibillini, with tops of 2500m. In winter, this is also a beautiful wintersports area. 
 
Culture: 
The region the Marche has a wide variety of cultural cities; Urbino home town of the renaissance, Jesi native city of Frederik II, Tolentino with its marvellous frescos,... Not to mention the musea... 
 
Nature: 
The caves of Frasassi belong to the natural highlights of the region.

• Travel Info: Our farm issituated on the edge of the medieval village of Poggio Cupro, part of Cupramontana. This little town is situated, on a height of 505m, in the middle of the province Ancona, region the Marches. By car: Highway A14 Bologna-Ancona, exit Ancona-Nord. Then SS76 direction Jesi-Roma till exit 11, Apiro-Mergo. You go under the highway and immediately left, direction Poggio Cupro-Cupramontana. You cross Poggio Cupro and immediatly after the first turn right you'll find La Girandola on your right hand side. If you posses a GPS, these are our coordinates: N 43°46'388" - E 13°09'111" By plane: The airport Raffaello Sanzio in Falconara (Ancona) has direct flights to London-Stansted, Brussels-Charleroi and Weeze-Niederrhein (Dusseldorf) (Ryanair), Rome, Milano (Alitalia) and Munich (airdolomiti). By train: The station of Ancona has connections with Rome, Bologna, Milano, Holland, Belgium and Germany. The nearest station is Castelplanio-Cupramontana, on the mainline Ancona-Roma.
