Vacation Rental Description
The apartment is part of a range of farm buildings that were renovated in 2006 to provide 2 apartments and has been furnished to provide all the comforts of home but retaining the feel of Italy. Entering the main door you arrive into a large sitting room with TV and DVD, Radio and CD player this leads to a large Kitchen Dining room with Washing machine, Fridge, Cooker and Hob, Dining table. Along the passage you reach 2 double bedrooms with King Size Beds, Wardrobe and Bedside tables, the bathroom is equipped with a large Shower Cubicle, WC, Washbasin and Hairdryer. 
Cagli is a courtly little town of 9000 habibants and is located on the Via Flaminia one of the oldest and most important Roma Roads in Europe. You can see the magificently restored 19c Opera House or you may just be happy wandering along the medieval streets. The beauty of Cagli is overshadowed by the nauraul splendour of its setting amidist some of Le Marches uncontaminated countryside -untouched widerness and breathtaking views - especially May -June when the alpine flora in the upland is in full bloom. 
There are also many beautiful paces to visit beside Cagli: 
URBINO - historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site and its impressive Ducale Palace houses one of the most important collections of Renaissance paintings in Italy. Also visit the Doumo which was destroyed by earthquake in 1789. (30 min drive) 
GUBBIO - Just inside the Umbrian border the is the most thoroughly medieval if Umbrian towns with its austere 14th century Palazzo fei Consoli. There is also 12c Doumo, Teatro Romana (amphitheatre). (30 Min drive) 
ASSISI - The internationally renowned Basilica di San Fransesco which was damaged after the earthquake of 1997 but has been carefully rebuilt and restored. It is a double decker Church built in honour of the humbe saint (St. Frances of Assisi) who lies in the cript. (50 min drive) 
Frasassi Caves - 1.5 km of Crystalline Wonderland, Europes larges single Cavern. Also stop and admire the spendid Frasassi Gorge. (45 min drive) 
Furlo Gorge - A place for lovers of Gothic scenery - sheer naked limestone cliffs rise up on either side of bright green waters, leaving just enough room for the narrow road pass. The road was ordered by emperor Vespasian on 76AD a remarkable feat of civil engineering.

    • Although Caicaccia does not have any shops Cagli is only 6km away, here you can find Supemarkets, Bakers, Butchers, Pasticcerie (cake shop), Green grocer with superb quality of vegetables. There are also a number of reasonable and very good restaurants nearby, try the house wine it is good and cheap. Do not miss the local market in Cagli this takes place every Wednesday in the main piazza and is a hive of activity. For relaxation there is nothing better than sitting outside a Cafe in the main Piazza of Cagli with watching the world go by. Fano is situated on the Adriatic coast, 40 minutes drive, it has a Blue Flag beach is home to a large fishing fleet and plenty of seafood restaurants. The area around Cagli had not been commercialised and the town itself retains all the atmosphere of old Italy but with many of the modern conveniences.

    Activities

    For people who enjoy walking there are plent of area's where you can ramble in peace and quiet enoying the stunning scenery. One of the most beautiful locations is Monte Catria which is only 5 minutes from the apartment. The mountain is 1980 mts in height with woodland where truffles are gathered in season and pastures where cows and horses roam. 
    Places of historical interest to visit include Urbino where the Historic cntre is a UNESCO world heritage site, Guubio the most thoroughly medieval of Umbria's towns, Assisi with the internationally renowned Basilica di San Francisco, Furlo Gorge, the road was oreder by Emperor Vespascian in 76AD a remarkable feat of civil engineering, Frasassi Caves 1.5km of crystalline wonderland - Europes largest single cavern and lastly Fano blue flag beach. None of the beautiful places are more than 1 /12 hours away.

    Prices are all-inclusive for maximum of 4 people and bookings are taken from Saturday afternoon to Saturday morning unless otherwise agreed. Shorter lets can be agreed, please contact us with your request. Sheets, Bedding and Towels are included, the apartment will also be cleaned at the end of your stay although we would respectfully request you leave the apartment as clean as possible on your departure. Requests will be held provisionally until a 20% deposit payable by Sterling cheque or bank transfer has been recieved. Balance of holiday invoice must be received 21 days before rental commences. A bond of £100 is also required to be held against any damage, returnable 7 days after completion of stay. Cancellation Policy: Prior to 21 days of commencement loss of deposit / post 21 days loss 50% of total holiday rental.
