The house is set in an utterly tranquil position, in 30 acres of gardens, meadows and plantations of walnut and cherry trees. There are stunning views of over 180 degrees taking in the famous Sibelline mountains, south to Abruzzo and to the hilltop villages of Gualdo and San Ginesio.

LE MARCHE is still a wonderfully unspoilt area of Italy. The houses are in the so called 'Golden Triangle' area of the southern Marche (between Amandola, Sarnano and San Ginesio). It is a thriving rural area with rolling hills and ancient hilltop towns. We think it is far more stunning than Tuscany and yet is unruined by mass tourism. At the same time there are good shops and great leisure facilities.

The property itself is in a unique position surrounded by fields and woods, utterly peaceful and at the end of a country lane with no other houses nearby. Get in the car and it is only 5/10 minutes drive to Sarnano with its shops and restaurants. The 180+ degree views of the Sibillini mountains, the countryside of Le Marche and medieval hilltop villages are breathtaking. This website also has a good restaurant and shopping guide. The Marche is one of Italy's shoe and leather goods producing areas so if you want some factory priced Tods, this is the place to go.

The Sibillini Mountains National Park is a stunningly beautiful and unspoilt territory covering an area of 70,000 hectares, renowned for its rare wild flowers and wildlife - perfect for summer excursions or longer mountain treks for the more serious walker. Such is the richness of the Sibelline flora and fauna and the superb walking that Naturetrek are using the houses as their base for their specialised holidays to the area.
During the winter months there are nearby facilities for both cross country and downhill skiing.

The house was lovingly restored in 2004 and have been furnished and decorated to the highest standard with good quality furniture, original art and well-equipped kitchens and bathrooms.
The house is 19th century. The floors on the ground floor are terracotta and upstairs are wooden parquet flooring. All the old ceilings beams have been retained. It has FOUR bedrooms and three bathrooms and can sleep 8 in comfort. One of the double bedrooms has an extra single bed bringing the total number up to 9.

The house is surrounded by terraces and has a large outside teak dining tables and there are sunloungers and umbrellas by the new large pool (14 x 6 metres) where you can soak up the sun - if you are not distracted by the views!

The medieval hilltop town of Sarnano in the province of Macerata, with its shops, restaurants and spa with many beauty treatments is only a ten minute drive away.
