Vacation Rental Description
Casa Pucci is a former 200 year old farmhouse lovingly restored combining the best of the old traditional style with the new to add convenience and comfort. The villa, set in hilly countryside with outstanding views of meadows and the Sibillini mountains is about 10 Kilometres from the medieval hill towns of Sarnano and Amandola and Monte San Martino in the region of Le Marche. It is about 40 minutes from the Adriatic Riviera and 20 minutes from the Sibillini Mountain National Park. It is 50 km from the regional capital Ascoli Piceno, 40 km from Macerata, 90 km from Ancona, 80 km from Assisi and 180 from Rome.
The house faces south with a garden and partly shaded terraces where you can relax and enjoy the magnificent views over the valley towards the Apennine and Sibillini Mountain range. The unspoilt countryside around the villa is gently sloping with terraced fields and woodland.
The house sleeps 8 people with 3 double rooms and 1 twin. The house has two living rooms, one with inglenook fireplace and dining area, the other an upstairs studio, a fully equipped kitchen, and two modern bathrooms.
Accommodation
Ground Floor:
Entrance hall: Leading off the entrance hall is one double bedroom with built in wardrobe and one bathroom. The bathroom is equipped with hip bath/shower, toilet, bidet, washbasin and utility sink.
Living/dining room: typical Marchesian farmhouse living area with large open fireplace and bathroom with shower/toilet and washbasin leading from it.
Leading off the Living/dining room are two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom.
Kitchen: Leading off the living/dining room is a well equipped kitchen with gas hob and oven, fridge freezer and coffee machine. An iron is available for quests use.
1st Floor:
Studio: The studio has studio has satellite TV, portable radio/cassette, easy chairs and spectacular views across the valley.
Outside: Lawned area and large terraced area with loungers, table and chairs, parasols, for those relaxing days and barbecues ( small bbq included). For those brave enough is an outside shower to cool off after the heat of the day. Your not overlooked so go for it!
Washroom: situated in a room attached to the villa is a washroom with water, washing machine and washing line.
General:
The whole house has been thoughtfully and charmingly furnished and retains many of its original features. It has central heating (for those cooler times in the year) and constant hot water. Recently, renovation of the roof has been completed and the windows have been modenised to include double glazing and fly screens.
Facilities
Casa Pucci is a fully restored former farmhouse set with magnificent views of the Sibillini Mountains and close to the medieval hill towns of Amandola and Sarnano. The house is close to many restaurants offering local dishes at very affordable prices. The farmhouse has been thoughtfully restored maintaining its rustic charm & history. If you have never been to this part of Italy and are interested in a real Italian holiday away from the crowds and pollution, then this is for you. The region is noted for its breathtaking scenery and is ideal for walking, cycling, skiing in winter and close to the Adriatic for swimming....largely undiscovered Le Marche offers everything that is best about Italy.
Activities
The nearby mountain areas have excellent mountain bike trails and walks amongst the alpine flora and fauna of the Sibillini National Park as well as horse riding, paragliding and a school of free flight. There are several lakes where you can swim, fish and canoe as well as lovely beaches on the Adriatic coast. For the winter there is skiing in nearby Sassetteto.
Whilst the medieval towns have ancient churches, piazzas, battlements, palazzos and theatres, they also are well equipped with shops, supermarkets, banks and a wide variety of bars, restaurants and cafes where you can sit outside in the summer enjoying the wonderful atmosphere.
There are sport centres with swimming pool, tennis courts, ten pin bowling, mini golf and gymnasium.
Whether you are interested in flora or fauna, bird watching or are a keen photographer, with the Sibillini National Park on your doorstep this is a perfect plave to indulge your hobbies.

In high season, bookings normally run from Saturday to Saturday, however, at other times we try to be flexible. * Arrivals 16.00 - 19.00 unless by arrangement with the local agent. * Departures by 10.00am A booking form must be completed in full before your reservation can be confirmed. Included in the price: electricity, gas (excluding central heating, which if requested will be charged at 3.5 Euros per cubic metre), hot water, one weeks supply of bed linen. Guests staying 2 weeks will have a fresh supply of linen after one week. Final cleaning: A charge of 50 Euros is made at the end of the letting, payable locally. Security deposit: A security deposit of 200 Euros will be paid locally to the agent. Payment: A deposit of 30% of the total rental is payable on booking.
