Spacious, elegant and comfortable apartment on third floor (with elevator) of a carefully restored 17th century palace. The palace has been the last home of Prince Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, the writer of the world famous novel "The Leopard". Located in the heart of the historical district of Palermo, in the Kalsa quarter, the apartment is at walking distance of the most important artistic and touristic attractions, celebrated churches and museums, colourful market-places, the main theatres, and the fascinating Botanical Gardens, among the oldest in Europe. Literally in a couple of minutes you can reach many nice restaurants, shops, supermarkets (in the apartment you'll find suggestions about where to shop and where to eat, along with maps and guide books). The nearest bus stop is at 50 m distance. The nearest golf course is Villa Airoldi Golf Club, 6 km from the apartment. The nearest beach is the beautiful Mondello, 20' car ride from the apartment (10 km). Overlooking the seaside with a breathtaking view of the bay of Palermo, the apartment has a long terrace-balcony and a turret with a sun-deck terrace. The apartment includes entrance hall, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, dining room, large living room with sofabed, bedroom with double bed and fireplace, dressing room, bathroom. The apartment is provided with beautiful antique furniture, TV, radio, DVD and CD player, telephone (local calls only) and Internet access, hairdryer, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, bed, bath and kitchen linen, central heating, air conditioning, welcome breakfast, twice-weekly cleaning with complete change of linen. For the use of telephone and Internet a fee of 25 Euros per week is required.
