Salita Convento is a newly refurbished Sicilian townhouse, retaining many of its original features, giving guests a real feel of Traditional Sicily at its best. It is located in a nice part of this small town, within 3-4 minutes walk of the main piazza, shops, banks, and 2-3 restaurants. The large roof terrace offers sun chairs for relaxing with a book or that glass of wine, whilst enjoying the magnificent views after a busy day on the beach or visiting the valley of the temples. The town of Cianciana is set amongst stunning scenery of vineyards, Orange/lemon and Olive groves, yet only a short drive from the coast. 
 
The inside of Salita Convento was refurbished during the winter of 2007/spring 2008 to a high standard, keeping much of it's original Sicilian authenticity. The old stone walls of this traditional style property, keep it nice and cool during the hot summers, with central heating during the cooler months. Mable floors throughout. 
 
The stunning 4-mile long sandy beach of Eraclea Minoa is approximately 25-30 minutes drive. The beach offers great walks, pine forest, shallow safe swimming, sun loungers and umbrellas for hire, totally uncommercialised. There are a couple of nice local restaurants open during the days and evenings, offering excellent freshly caught fish which 'cannot be missed'. Above the western end of the beach are the Roman archaeological remains, at the eastern end is the WWF protected area where Turtles lay eggs. 
 
New Development Golf and Spa resort with a proposed opening date of Spring / Summer of 2009, approximately 25 minutes drive. It will consist of 18-hole championship course, 18-hole club course, and 9-hole course. There are also various spa treatments available; excellent bars and restaurants. 
 
Skiing available approximately 3 hours drive away. 
 
Being in the town, shops, banks, cash points, restaurants, local market are within a few minutes walk.

Salita Convento is the ideal location for family holidays, beach lovers/Artists/wine enthusiasts/golfers/cycling/and visits to archaeological sites. The house is ideally located to the main piazza, and all local amenities of this wonderful hillside town, which is set amongst stunning scenery. During August the town really comes alive with the festival, ending in a fantastic firework display. The well known Tuesday market with approximately more than 100 stalls is just a 5-minute walk.
