Mediterranean plants, scents of ancient traditional Sicilian cuisine and luxury - Placed in the heart of a nursery specialised in Mediterranean plants, Resort di Charme Pietradolce is ready to welcome you in a 19th century Sicilian house that has been refurbished in full respect of the original but given all the modern comforts. Elegantly refined, the building dominates the ten thousand square metre nursery garden. Here you may enjoy a guided tour to discover the hundreds of scents and varieties of Mediterranean plants. It is also possible to admire a private collection of subtropical plants. The courtyards in lavic paving, the ancient cistern and river pebbles, the well-stocked wine cellar and the swimming pool surrounded by secular olive trees, the comfortable spaces designed to relax and the quiet reading room, the wide halls and ample dining room: all this has been designed to make your stay exceptional.  
Our Resort is of generous hospitality. The guests can choose between 18 rooms all with different spaces and style and spaced between two distinct facilities and an annex stoned into the plants and flowers of the nursery. Three suites, nine j. suites, four rooms and a flat allow us to satisfy the most demanding needs. All the environments are distinguished for their finery and for the high quality of the materials. The furniture is also cared for in detail. Relish the region.....our menu, based on the typical local flavoursome recipes, will bring you on a culinary journey through the flavours and scents of ancient traditional Sicilian cuisine. The care we put in the choice of our ingredients and the passion we put into the preparation turn every dish into both a pleasure and a discovery. Thanks to our refined wine cellar, we always complement the dishes with the most appropriate wine. In order to supply the restaurant with the freshest ingredients dinners need to be booked on the previous evening.  
Ten hectares in the most prestigious wine area on mount Etna are where we produce the Doc wine for the Resort. The vineyards were bought in 2006 and they are between Solicchiata and Passopisciaro on the northern side of the volcano in the territory of Castiglione di Sicilia. The vineyards all grow Nerello Mascalese, the vine that produces the most appreciated wines in this area. This is where the ‘Pietradolce - Archineri Etna Doc’ is born from the passion and commitment of the Faro family in an area that has wine for its vocation. The name of the wine comes from the place where we produce it. Archineri has won “tre bicchieri” (three glasses), yearly award of “Guida dei Vini d’Italia 2010” of Gambero Rosso. The wine-making is done in a well-equipped cellar in Mascali, the area of origin of the Nerello Mascalese, only a few kilometres away from the Resort di Charme Pietradolce. "Pietradolce - Archineri" is characterised by its ruby-red colour, red berry scents with mineral notes, and by the complexity, persistence and elegant tannin it offers the palate. 
We do not only offer wine and taste, however. A little lower down the mountain side, between the Ionic coast and the first hills, it is possible to find the best environment for Mediterranean plants to flourish, this is where Piante Faro have created the biggest nursery in Europe. Here the plants develop into unrepeatable shapes and colours: the Abutilon, the Agave, the Ficus, the Cistus, the Opuntiae, the ornamental Citrus plants are all to be found in the gardens of the Resort. They are the essence of Mediterranean gardens. These plants and flowers offer themselves to visitors in all their charm.

The five ‘superior’ rooms, 20 SQM, consist of a bedroom and bathroom. They all differ in furniture and design and are extremely comfortable thanks to the care for detail and the services we offer (air conditioning, fridge bar, satellite tv). Each of the nine junior suites 40sqm, is different in colours and style. Along with the bedroom and the bathroom there is a living room. Four of the nine suites are fitted on two levels: living room and double services on the one level and the bedroom and other bathroom upstairs. The perfect solution for those who want more: wide comfortable spaces. Terraces with breathtaking views, refined details and antique furniture distinguish these three suites from the other rooms. Each of these suites, 55sqm, is characterised by different materials and furniture; Air conditioning, fridge-bar, satellite tv, warm colours and large sofas guarantee great moments of relax.
