Vacation Rental Description
This beautiful characteristic house, with spectacular views out across the sea to the medieval castle of Castelsardo and further to the island of Asinara, is set on the outskirts of the hillside hamlet of Azzagulta. Situated in the magnificent area of Gallura in the North of Sardinia, within easy driving distance of the many and varied coves, bays and white sand beaches of the crystal clear seas of both “Costa Paradiso” and “Costa Smeralda” you will find locals selling freshly grown fruit and vegetables, local cheeses, wine and fresh fish along the coast road. The house is 9 minutes from the fabulous long white sand beach of Badesi Mare, where there are facilities for various water sports, several café bars on the beach, deckchairs and loungers for hire, and of course the wonderful clear turquoise sea. The local villages of Viddalba and Badesi are 5 minutes away in each direction, and between them you will find all facilities for shopping, including supermarkets, grocers, bakers, butchers (local organic meat), chemist, post offices and banks, as well as various cafés and bars. 500 metres down the road is an ‘Agriturismo’ or farmers restaurant, where the proprietor produces everything served on the table, including salami, pecorino (sheep’s cheese), home made pastas, suckling pig, Sardinian sweets and great local wine and liquors and of course one can walk home. There are many other restaurants and pizzerias in the local villages, as well as in the local seaside town of Valledoria (10 minutes).
There are lots of local festivals and all are invited, the Gallurese are known for their warm hospitality. Above all in Sardinia you will find tranquillity with its miles of unspoilt coastline and countryside, it remains one of the few beautiful "undiscovered" holiday islands left in Europe and only 2 hours from the U.K. (see below).
The house, which we lovingly restored to retain the original characteristics whilst giving all the comforts, consists of large lounge/dining room with sofabed and wood burning fire and kitchen area with all facilities for cooking. Master double bedroom, 2nd double bedroom, 3rd bedroom with twin beds, and a large, beautiful bathroom with all conveniences inc. a huge open shower. There is a washing machine and laundry area; a storeroom with a separate toilet, there is also a T.V., stereo, DVD and MP3 player in the lounge. The house has its own courtyard garden at the front with a large table for eating "al fresco", and a couple of sun loungers.

Facilities
There is a wondeful paneramic view, across the valley of Basa Coghinas out across the Gulf of Asinara to the Medievil Castle of Castelsardo, and further to the Island of Asinara, an unspoilt natural paradise, well worth a trip.
Activities
There is also a Thermal river nearby where one can bathe, take mud baths, and the waters, all free of charge, or just sit on the beach and soak up the wonderful relaxing atmosphere.

Bookings taken and priced in units of one week Saturday to Saturday. (will accommodate variations subject to availability). All the prices, quoted in Euro, are per house based on one-week stay. There is a compulsory charge of €20 per person to cover water, gas, electricity and linen. Linen and bathroom towels (all 100% cotton) are changed weekly. The villa will be cleaned before your arrival, please leave it as you find it. House available over Xmas and New Year (18th Dec.-7th Jan.) at a cost of 450 per week.
