Vacation Rental Description
Wisteria cottage is a traditional Italian property with period features including exposed stone walls and wooden beamed ceilings. Totally refurbished in 2008 yet maintaining its charm. Set in a village location the cottage nestles in a lee under the watchful eye of the castle ruins. Plenty of places to walk and explore all from the front doorstep. Close by there are other villages, towns and a wealth of history, castles, towers and hill top villages. Do as much or as little as you want in this quiet and peaceful location, the perfect place to get away from it all.
Downstairs there is a lounge with plenty of seating for eight, internet access, a large flat screen television with satellite box and Dvd player, plus many Dvds. The large kitchen has a large dining table with space to seat 8 people. It is well equipped with plenty of utensils, pots, pans crockery and glass ware. It has a gas hob, electric oven and large fridge freezer. Leading off the kitchen is the old cantina which has been converted into a laundry and storage area and off which there is a second bathroom with large comfortable bath with hand shower over, toilet, bidet and designer hand basin with mirror over.
Up stairs there are three large double bedrooms, two with very comfortable King size beds and the other with twin beds which can be pushed together to form another king sized bed. There is also a shower room with walk in shower/wet room, toilet, bidet and double wash basins with mirrors over.
There are lovely views from the front aspect of the house especially from the upstairs bedrooms.
The cottage has a shared front garden which is laid to lawn and provides a pleasant and sunny aspect for morning breakfast or coffee taken at the round stone table.
The back garden is laid to lawn and has plenty of space to sit or lounge outside on the numerous sunbeds and comfey chairs which are provided. Tables, chairs, loungers, sunbeds and a barbeque provided.
Both front and back gardens have sun most of the day.

We have an Italian contact who can organise excursions, visits to wineries, castles etc and can also accompany our guests should they require it. The cost to be arranged with our contact who speaks English.
We are also able to organise catering for part or the whole of the holiday.

The Italian Riviera is about an hour and a half away by car but you can also travel by train to several places along the Riviera.

- Nearest Town : Acqui Terme at 0 kilometers distance
- Travel Info: Wisteria cottage can be reached by air from all the Milan airports but Malpensa is the closest approximately two hours by car.
Turin and Genoa airports are closer and approximately an hour and a half by car.
It is possible to travel by train from the UK via Paris to Turin and then onwards to Asti, Nizza or Acqui Terme but car hire is essential.
Trains from Genoa and Savona also arrive at Acqui Terme.

Quite village location, close to other small villages steeped in history.
Many villages sell local produce and there are many farms selling wine in the area.
Sessame is known for its Brachetto wine a sparkling light, slightly sweet rose'
Within easy reach of smart small towns where you can shop at designer boutiques or simply sit watch life pass by and sample the local cafe delicacies.
