It is a traditional Le langhe stone farmhouse, that is probably the oldest in the county, warm in winter and fresh in the summer. It is situated at the top of a hill surrounded by vines and hazelnut groves, at an altitude of about 650 meters.

The view is extraordinary; a sequence of hills overlooked by Monviso and the Monte Rosa massif.  
 
Should you like to enjoy not only the beauty and peace of the Cascina, but also the most striking artistic and historical expressions of the area, just a few kilometers away you can find the renowned Castles of Barolo, Grinzane Cavour, Govone, Alfieri, Novello, Verduno, etc. 
 
A walk or a drive of about 3 km will bring you to the village of Barbaresco. While Alba, a town with medieval towers, old arcades, and museums is about 10 Km far away. This town is regarded as the "capital of the Langhe" and hosts many famous events, such as: 
 
“Vinum – presentation and tasting of the wines of the area, and of the most typical local products” (Spring); “Market-exhibition of the white truffle of the Langhe and the Roero”, together with a sequence of events both cultural and gastronomic, that finishes at the Castle of Grinzane Cavour with the charitable Auction of the giant truffle, to which the most famous restaurateurs take part (Fall).
