Vacation Rental Description
Villa Caruso and Villa Sereni are 2 large, contemporary, luxury 3 bedroom villas situated on the Eastern bank of Lago Maggiore, with stunning views across the lake. Villa Caruso was completed in Dec 2008 and Villa Sereni in December 2009. Set in a quiet hamlet, these luxury properties each sleep 6-8 and so can be rented together for large groups of 12-16 people. Both properties are set over 3 floors. They are both south westerly facing with over 120 m2 of interior living space, 3 large balconies and a teak-decked terrace. The layout of each property is almost identical. As you enter each property, you will find a large open plan living and kitchen / dining area. On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms - one double with a large balcony overlooking the lake, and one twin – as well as a bathroom with walk in shower. Upstairs again, there is the master bedroom suite with a large designer bathroom.
Kitchen & Dining Area:
Brand new fully fitted designer kitchen including 4 ring gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer. A breakfast bar seats two with an adjacent glass dining table seating 6-8. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery and glassware for eight guests.
Lounge Area:
The lounge area has a large corner sofa and a large patio window looking out to the terrace and the lake beyond. For entertainment, the lounge area has a large flat screen TV and DVD player as well as a Bose iPod docking station. Satellite receiver with UK channels. A selection of DVDs for both children and grown ups have been provided for your enjoyment along with a selection of games. There is also wireless internet access. Each property also has either a Wii games console or XBOX for your enjoyment.
Bedroom 1 (Master Suite with en-suite bathroom & two balconies)
The whole of the 3rd floor is allocated to the master bedroom suite. A large and spacious bedroom with a king size designer bed and flat screen TV (with UK channels) leads out onto a balcony with magnificent views over the lake. The large en-suite bathroom includes a walk-in wet room shower, bath, WC and bidet as well as his and hers sinks. A separate balcony leads from the bathroom to the rear of the property with views across the hills. White Company throws and cushions give the bedroom a luxurious feel.
Bedroom 2 (Double Bedroom with balcony)
This bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, console table, bedside cabinets and flatscreen TV. It is another beautifully decorated room with White Company bedding. A private balcony with a table and chairs provides a great view of the lake and adjoining countryside.
Bedroom 3 (Twin Bedroom)
Set at the rear of the property on the second floor, Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and a large window with views to the hills beyond.
Family Bathroom
The family bathroom on the second floor is beautifully tiled in beige, brown and cream tiles. It has a large shower, WC and sink.
Terrace
The private terrace overlooks the lake and is set in teak decking with a dining table and chairs for 6, as well as a parasol and BBQ. The terrace is fully bordered by 1.2m high railings. In addition, the villa has 3 balconies, 2 with lake views and 1 with views over the countryside. Those with lake views are equipped with a table and 2 chairs.
Family Friendly
A cot, highchair and stroller is available upon request. The house is also fully equipped with children's plates and crockery. A selection of toys and children's DVDs is also available.
Wheelchair access
As the house is on 3 levels and as there are steps down from the car park to the front door to the villa, I am afraid that the house is unsuitable for wheelchair access.
Facilities
The property is well equipped for families. A travel cot, highchair and bed rail are available free of charge upon request. We also have a selection of kids toys as well as games for both adults and children to enjoy (e.g. Cranium, Articulate, Scrabble, Monopoly etc). The property also has a selection of kids and adult DVDs for you to watch. The house has wireless internet access, 2 flat screen TVs, Bose Sounddock and a DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped. All crockery, utensils and cooking equipment was new for January 2009.
Activities
Lake Maggiore is a beautiful area and provides a base to visit Milan or the other Italian Lakes. The house is perfectly situated for visiting the towns around Lake Maggiore - Luino, Cannobio, Cannero, Stresa etc. You are also just 15 mins from Switzerland and the beautiful city of Lugano. The nearest beaches are only 5 minutes away. You can enjoy watersports such as windsurfing, sailing and kitesurfing or scuba diving. Boat rental, pedalo and canoe hire is also easily available. If hiking is your cup of tea, then Val Veddasca 12 miles away is ideal. Most mountains also have tracks for mountain bikes. For skiiers, there is a practice run with a button lift at La Forcora, 20 mins away. 1 hour away there are slopes at Mottarone. And for the golfer, there are 6 good courses within a range of 40 km. There is plenty for families to enjoy, for example, Swissminiatur, the Alprose Swiss chocolate factory, the European Museum of Transport, Monte Tamaro, Locarno falconry and a safari park.

Non refundable deposit of £200 payable upon booking. Remainder of balance due 9 weeks before arrival. A security deposit of £300 must also be paid 9 weeks before departure, returnable on satisfactory completion. 135 euro final cleaning fee will be deducted from the security deposit.
