Vacation Rental Description
Cooling breezes rise from the beautiful Lake Como below as you lounge on your own upper floor terrace overlooking the lake. Although you have every convenience needed to make a wonderful meal here and dine in your own 6 seat dining nook, you may decide to stroll down your hillside to the little town of Plesio for piazza or a grappa in the local restaurant or coffee bar. Walk into the deli/grocery and all the conveniences of fresh bread, cheese and meat, as well as the necessities of life are here for you, within minutes of your door. Several times a week the fruit and veggie man arrives with his fresh produce ( and local wines) to the little church just steps from your door....

Explore the historic old town with its buildings that date to the 1500s. Drive to the local famous golf course for a round, or down the hill to the beautiful town of Menaggio on Lake Como, about 3 miles away. From there you can take the ferry to Bellagio or any of the other villages up and down the lake. Or take the air boat to Como for a day of shopping and sightseeing.

Hiking is a famous pastime here, or mountain climbing on Mt. Grona, which rises just above your new vacation home. You can walk to small towns nearby or take your car and hit the motorway to Switzerland and Lake Piano and Lugano: a short distance away. Within 20 minutes you are shopping in the large Standa supermarket, or sightseeing in Lugano.

Where ever your travels take you it will be easy to return home to this carefree house. As you walk down the narrow cobblestone street to Casa Belinda you will stroll back in time to the old Italy, where neighbors greet each other and live is lived in the slow lane... Enter your home away from home and relax in the lounges or under the umbrellas and look out over the lake. The mountains of the Alps rise before you, the lake below. The clouds form and disperse, making an ever changing scene of beauty.

All the pleasures of the countryside are here for you, as well as the pleasures of the lake. Daily cares drift away, and you can decide to sightsee, or just stay home and relax. The perfect vacation!

    • The home has a gas stove with 4 burners, two types of heat plus a fireplace with a heatilator. All linens and bedding, dishes and cookware are provided, as well as coffee pot, toaster, Microwave. There is a queen bedroom with a nearby bathroom on the first floor. A floating staircase leads to a loft area with twin chairs that convert to two twin beds. There is an air mattress for a child available. A short staircase leads to the terrace overlooking the lake.

    • Hiking and walking are available, on the mountain and throughout the countryside. The area is famous for "wandering".

    All the adventures of Lake Como: sightseeing, shopping, sailing and local eateries are here within minutes drive of the house. Your car is protected in your own private garage. Masses of flowers line your hillside drive from Plesio to the lake. It is hard to keep your eyes on the road, so much beauty on either side! No wonder this area has been the vacation stop for generations of Europeans! Lake Como is one of the top destinations in the world.

      High Season Price: £398 per Week
         

    50% of the rental with the signed rental agreement. Cleaning fee: 36 GBP. Security Deposit: 67 GBP. Wire transfer or PayPal or Xoom.com or Credit Card Balance due: 1 month prior to arrival. Payment in Euros or US Funds. Booking on receipt of deposit and rental agreement. Cancellation 3 months prior to arrival: if the space is filled we will refund your deposit less 50GBP. If not the deposit will be credited to a future booking.
