Vacation Rental Description
This cottage was built just a few years ago, with original stone from the ruins of an ancient building. Views are stunning. The garden on the ground floor is ideal for relaxation and BBQs.
The first floor, with stone tile flooring and exposed wood beams, has a living area with a cushioned bench (which can double as a bed for 1 person), a full kitchen with a stainless steel counter, a romantic stone fire-place, and a large balcony/terrace.
The second floor has hard-wood flooring, slanted wood-beamed cathedral ceiling, and a large French window opening onto a little terrace. There is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a bathroom with shower.
The Milan airports are both 40 min away. It is very close to Laglio (George Clooney's Villa) and to Cernobbio, with its fine restaurants. Boat-tours stop at the famous villas and their botanical gardens. You can take day trips to Como and Milan with their art and culture, restaurants, and shopping (designer outlets, silk scarves and ties).
Facilities
The kitchen, though small, is very well equipped and state-of-the art. You will have a full sized gas range with 4 hobs, a full oven, a fridge and freezer. There is an electric kettle, and an Italian style espresso maker (moka). There is a large outdoor, wood-burning barbecue. The garden is an ideal place for sunbathing and relaxing. There are wood folding chairs provided, 1 sunbed/lounger with thick padded cushioning and 2 tree-trunk outdoor benches. Towels and linen are provided and changed every week.

Menaggio Golf, 15 km away
Many ski locations (ask for details): 45 minutes away
Lake beach: 500 meters
We provide highly sophisticated guided tours of the entire Lake region (providing great cultural insights) for a fee.
The Como area has many incredible silk outlets (bran-name designer ties for a fraction of retail price, scarves, clothes, home decor) - we will tell you all about it. The Fox Town shopping outlet in Switzerland is just 40 minutes away.

30% of the amount is required at the time of booking (200 Euros). This amount will then be kept as a security deposit until your check-out. Full payment will be made upon arrival/check-in. We usually rent from Saturday to Saturday: check-in after 4pm, check-out 10am. In low season, we may be able to be flexible on this - feel free to contact us.
