From the property you can walk through historic hamlets down to the lakeside (15 minutes down hill). Argegno is a quaint lakeside fishing village, which manages to retain its charm, whilst providing an ever-increasing number of tourist services. There are several bars and a choice of excellent restaurants offering anything from simple pizza and lake fish to mouth-watering steaks and a fantastic wine cellar. It is also great access point to all other parts of the lake, being a main ferry point and bus location. Sample the fresh bread and brioche from Louisa or the home-made ice creams, made with fresh produce daily - even cucumbers! Don't miss 'aperitivo' time from 6pm till 8pm every evening in both the 'Enoteca' and bar Colombo, when the bar is filled with mouth-watering tit-bits and all free of charge!

Or you can venture up into the hills and sample the unspoilt delights of the Val d'Intelvi, away from the tourist trails.
