Vacation Rental Description
This lovely sunny old mill was completely renovated in 2006. Pool under construction. Should be ready by May 2012. Good place for families to gather and enjoy the beautiful scenery, swim or go rafting in the mountain river, jump from high rocks into beautiful clear water. Little children can enjoy the shallow pools or try fishing. Make use of our authentic pizza oven, BBQ or have a game of boules. Sit and listen to the sound of birds and the river while reading in the shade of the pergola. The mill's main house has an open space of 60m2 with stone arches. This space holds the kitchen, sitting room and dining room. From the sitting room you step out onto a south facing terrace overlooking the river with a table and chairs. Upstairs, 4 bedrooms, a mezzanine room and 2 bathrooms.two of the bedrooms have a connecting south facing balcony overlooking the river, with chairs and tables. This is where we like to watch the sunset. All you see from the south, east and west sides are mountains.
A few meters away is the Lavanderia. This little house has an open space. Mezzanine with 3 single beds. The room has 2 a sofa bed, a kitchenette and a table. A little private area overlooking the river. Down-stairs is the shower and toilet.
The garden is on three terraces. One with a good space for playing boules. Garden furniture and a BBQ available.
The water is heated by solar panals backed up by eletricity.
Electric heaters and a big wood burner for the colder months.
Having 4 small grand children, we have left plenty of toys for people who come with small children. One cot, two foldable baby beds and a high feeding chair and a little table for little people to enjoy.
We usually spend half the day at the beach and the other half in the river. Walks are great. Bike ride along the coast, 20 kms on a converted railway line from San Remo to San Lorenzo. Bikes for rent at a very cheap rate in Arma di Taggia, our sea side resort.
Facilities
A meal can be prepared for you for the evening of your arrival. The cook has her own pizzeria. She can teach you how to make pizzas or prepare your meals for you.All with fresh veggies from her garden. Our kitchen has everything a chef would need. A generous size working plan for a group to prepare a meal. We can organize a cleaning service for you. The linen can be hired for 10 euros per per single bed and 20 euros per double bed.
Activities
Great walks following historical old roman roads and crossing old roman bridges.
Concerts and festivals the whole year round. Old sail boat festival in June in Imperia. voice festival in July in Mont Alto. Snail festival in September.... We will let you know what's on. Lots of guide books and pamphlets are available in the sitting room. Good books with detailed maps for those who like walks.
Yes, you can ski an hour and a half away from the mill at monesi. RAFTING either with an inflatable boat or go with the pros in Molini. Mountain bikes can be hired, with or without a guide.All water sports are available at Arma or San Remo.The beach in Arma is sandy and very safe for children. There is a golf course in San Remo. Promenade for cyclistes and pedestrians of nearly 30 kms along the coast with possibility of hiring bikes.

Deposit of 25% when reserving. Balance to be paid one month before the beginning of the rental date. weekly is from Saturday 4 pm to Saturday 10 am. Weekend is from Friday 4 pm to Sunday 4 pm. Not high season. 700 euros Daily is 350 euros a night , minimum 2 nights. Linen is available for 10 euros a single bed and 20 euros double bed. Includes sheets, towels and kitchen towels. Cleaning service available for 80 euros for the big house and 40 euros for the little house. Breakage deposit of 500 euros in cash on arrival. Refunded at end of stay

Holiday in an ancient olive watermill in the mountains17 kms from the sea resort Arma di Taggia
We fell in love with this unknown wild area. When we found the mill our dream came true.A beautiful old mill right on the Argentina river. The private access to the river was the beginning of great adventures. Swimming up stream with the kids in the inflatable boat discovering huge rock pools. One so deep that we can't touch the bottom. Riding the rapids and jumping from the high rocks. In front of the mill we started to build a natural wall with rocks. We have noticed that tenants have been playing the game and adding rocks.
After a BBQ under the shady pergola we head off to the beach. Just follow the river 18 kms and you arrive at a little port and sandy beaches. I personally prefer these beaches as the are very protected and my little grand children can play safely. We have our favourite pizzeria right on the beach where while sipping a glass of wine, we watch the children playing on the beach.
Summer 2009 the inauguration of the new bicycle/ pedestrian way, 30 klm along the coast on the converted old train track. You can rent a bike or roller skates in Arma or San Remo.
If you like hiking, the area is full of traced tracks. We have guide books and good maps available at the mill.
In early November we spent a week at the mill. The river was too cold for swimming but the sea was still warm enough. The children joined me in the sea with the wild swans, the only other "tourists"
Christmas week has become available due to a cancellation. An extra night for free . 1400 euros (before 1600)
