This delightful small apartment has access to all amenities, including local market for bargain hunting, and have excellent restaurants for eating out. It has a large enough terrace for sunbathing and alfresco dining in property with six apartments at the edge of the small town of Tellaro, just a few hundred metres from the sea (rocky shores and small beaches), 2km Tellaro (shops with the basic essentials, 50 m from the house bus to Lerici and Tellaro every 15 minutes).4 km horse riding, golf , tennis and sailing, yoga available in Lerici.

Why not take advantage of our good value low rental rates for the quieter Autumn season when the sea can be the warmest of the year and the bays still bask in the warm yellow glow of sunshine. With our low rates you might want to consider escaping the English Autumn damp for longer than a week!

From September onwards for those of you who are into golf, LERICI has a 9 hole course (Golf Club Marigola Lerici - Via Biaggini) located close to the sea with fantastic views of the harbour and castle. Phone: 0187/970193. The club also offers parking, restaurant, bar, pro-shop, driving range and putting green.
For those of you, who like to leap about on the tennis court, the Circolo Tennis Club is located next door, phone 0187/965995.

There is an open air public swimming pool, again adjecent to the golf and tennis facilities.

If you are into walking, you must visit the five villages of Chinque Terre. Take the train, bus but not the car as these are not allowed beyond the entrance of each town. Better than trains or buses, for those with the time a scenic path connects all the villages. A little strenous, but the dramatic views of the towns and coast more than compensate for a little light sweating.

Cycling is also a big passion as it offers dramatic see views s biker cycle up hill and around Fiascherino to Ameglia.

Now about our apartment: The open plan interior is light, airy, beautifully furnished in blue and white with wood floors. Bedroom: there is one king size luxury bed (orthopaedic) for extra comfort, and a fitted wardrobe.Spacious sitting/ dining room with table, chairs, sofabed and TV.

Fully fitted kitchenette with fridge, electric cooking rings and microwave.Bathroom with shower, washbasin, bidet and washing machine. There is a delightful terrazzo with sun bed, dining table, chairs and sun shade. It has sun all afternoon for private sun bathing, and birds sing to wake you in the morning. Ideal for a sea side holiday and hill walking.

THE NORTH WEST ITALY / ITALIAN RIVIERA / LIGURIA REGION

The Gulf of La Spetzia, long known as the Gulf of Poets, is shaped like a gentle amphitheatre. To the west are Portovenere and it's small islets, and the Tramonti area leading to the Cinque Terre, to the east and Tuscany beaches to the south, Lerici with it's unforgettable views from the castle, and further on, wonderful little bays-one of which is Fiascherino. Lerici, famous location for winter and summer holidays by the sea, offers with it's enchanting landscape a peacfull vacation full of opportunities. The Lerici shores are protected from harsh winter by the Apuan Alps and favoured by rich Italian florentines in winter months.

LERICI / FIASCHERINO AREA

Lerici is the closest major water fronted town. Very picturesque, lots of local colour with excellent bars, and restaurants provide typical Ligurian cuisine featuring lots of fish. Take a ferry here to Portofino, Santa- Margaruita and Cingue Terre. Throughout the summer there are concerts and cultural events almost every night. 'Music, drink & movements' organised by local businesses. You can get plenty of information on cultural events from the Lerici commune.

A larger town, Sarzana built in the 15th Century, with it's annual antique markets held in August and it's beautiful churches. Many bars and restaurants around the lovely town square. A 15 minute drive from the apartment.
Near by and on route from Pisa to Sarzana are the famous Quarries of White Marble in Carrara.

Travel Info: How to get to Eva’s Casa These notes assume that you will be arriving by car as this is the way we always get there. It is possible to reach the apartment using public transport, but we strongly advise you to do your own research and in any case to ensure that you have a decent scale map. Take into account the need to arrive at the apartment between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm, no matter what transport you are using. By car the trip should take about 50-60 minutes (based on leaving from Pisa airport) • Take the A12 toll road from Pisa airport towards Genoa or, from the Genoa direction towards Pisa. • Take the toll exit at Sarzana. • Exit the toll and continue forward-follow road marked to Lerici. Road goes around to the right. • At first roundabout take right exit straight onto next roundabout-very close. • At second roundabout take right exit passing under the A12. • Continue forward. Road crosses over a river. Move over to right hand side. • Stay in right side and follow road around bend. Sign posted Lerici. • Continue forward entering Romito Magra • At roundabout turn right through village. • Road winds uphill until you reach a small roundabout at the top. • Take the left exit. Do not go straight on through the tunnel to Leric • Follow road up the hill and around to the right at the top. (garage on the left) • Follow the road down the hill towards Lerici. Fantastic view of Lerici on your right. • Watch out for the turning on the left to Tellaro. Take care crossing over the road. • Follow the winding coast road to Fiascherino. It can get narrow so take care! • Enter Fiasscherino • Take the left turning between Hotel Cristallo (pink hotel) and Hotel Rosa dei Venti and go up the hill. • “La Pagoda” is on the right hand side, fifty meters, or so up the hill. See photo. • Press the button marked “Godden” on the gate keypad. • Parking will be underneath the apartment through electric gates. You will be met by my agent Nineto who will show you around and make sure that everything is OK. Ninetto’s phone number is 0039 339 531 2881. He speaks a little English. Please note that reception from a mobile phone can vary due to the surrounding hills. Silvia, his daughter speaks English. Her number is 0039 340 279 1455. As noted in our agreement, please remember that you need to give our agent Euro 210 in cash when you arrive. Euro 150 is the refundable security deposit. Euro 60 is payable for change over/ cleaning and waiting time.

To secure the apartment a 25% deposit is due on booking. Deposits are non refundable in the event of cancellation. Change over day is Saturday. Arrival between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm. My name is Èva Margaret Godden and I live with my husband Jeremy.

We live in Kingston, Surrey and we very much enjoy living in this part of world.

The story of Èva Casa

We fell in love with Liguria ten years ago when we visited Santa Margherita. It was our first time in this region. As pension schemes and savings in England took a deep dive at that time I decided to buy a small place (with an enormous mortgage) which we could lock up and leave until we have more time to spend there.

That was ten years ago and unfortunately we are still too busy to use the place more often.

Renting started on and off some time ago, as we struggled to find a good and capable care-taker who is able to greet and meet my guests and see to everything else. It is not easy and I am always reminded that: ’What do you expect, it is Italy!’

As the place is in a very exclusive area, I thought, I should let others to experience of the many advantages of staying in an apartment instead of paying large sums of money for hotel rooms. The season is short. I mean if you are only interested in a seaside holiday. But now we visited the place twice, out of season and we find it even better. We can go into our favourite restaurant without booking. The weather is perfect for excursions, you can go walking, or ‘fungiing’ that is collecting mushrooms, in the many near by mountains, can still have an alfresco lunch on my terrace in October.

I like being an owner and helping people to find their dream holiday; enjoy telling them all about this wonderful and little known corner of Italy. I am sure that sometimes, my would be guests think; ’Oh she is over the top praising this place!’ So I included a couple of feedback we had from our last season.

This job entails making sure that all my guest know what to expect before they decide to book a holiday with us. I also appreciate how difficult it is to decide which place to choose, as there are literally hundred of thousands places are available all over the world!

To make sure that they choose my place, my site has a very detailed description, what is available, and what is not. Sometime people, who are never visited Italy, have no idea about prices and how it can vary and what to watch out for. So I write and communicate with my prospects and explain what makes a difference in prices, which is mainly location, location, location.
