1 Bedroom Cottage in Lake Bracciano

Quiet and independent open space room of 1000 sq.feet, ideal for a relaxing holidays as well as a base with daily trip to Rome. The cottage lies just below the Odescalchi majestic Castle. It is located a few steps away (5 minutes walk) from the lake and the medieval centre of Bracciano, and conveniently located near the railway station, with local train to Rome every 30'. The cottage is completely furnished and composed by a double bed area, or 2 separated twin beds, a comfortable sofa double bed in front of that, a kitchen corner fully equipped with seating for 4. The bathroom has large brick shower cabin. Central independent heating BY radiator.  
Outside: Swimming pool (10x5 meters) overlooking the lake. The large private and elegant garden of 40.000 sq feet, is furnished with sun beds and sitting area below the patio, with brick barbecue and pizza oven (firewood available for free). The owners, who live in the main villa, speak English and are available to help and advise.

The Cottage is situated 40 minutes North of centre Rome and you can get there easily both with your own car or by local train. The nearest airport is Fiumicino, about 45 minutes drive. Ciampino airport is about 1 hour drive. All the area north of Rome is easily reachable by the main roads and highways (A1 Milano - Napoli, A12 Civitavecchia - Fiumicino, A24 Pescara - L'Aquila - Roma). The area surrounding the lake Bracciano is a wide regional park with a wood reserve, clear and thermal waters, small historic villages. The cottage lies in the middle way between the historic village of Bracciano and the lake, about 5 minutes walk from both. It is suitable for whom is looking for a holiday in the nature and, at the same time, within easy distance from the centre, transports, shopping area, restaurants, beach, etc.

The regional park of the lakes Bracciano and Martignano offers lovely beaches in a delightful and sunny location, with the pretty villages of Bracciano, Trevignano and Anguillara Sabazia (looks like a crib on the lake), each one easy to reach by paths or by car and bus. The lake, forbidden to the motors, and water reserve of the aqueduct of Rome, is also wellknown for the princes the Orsini-Odescalchi majestic Castle, which is privately owned, but open to the public for guided tours. Around the lake is also possible to visit The botanical Gardens of San Liberato, designed by Russel Page for the same princes, and The Air Craft Museum. By the Mediterranea sea, only 20 Km far from Manziana, is located the Natural Reserve of Torre Flavia, with nice sunny beaches, and close the famous castle of Santa Severa. In the nearby, the thermal centres of Stigliano and Viterbo, offer round year, baths of sulfurous 37 degrees.

Nepi, turn right below the arches of Lucrezia Borgia’s Aqueduct, direction circonvallazione and Roma. (Nepi is nice for a short visit: the main square with the town hall and the walls). 06 km. Via Cassia direction Roma, pass by the village of Monterosi. 06 km. Exit Settevene (KM number 35°), turn right to Lake Bracciano and Trevignano 11 km. Trevignano. Enter Trevignano and after 11 km. Bracciano.
