We’re exactly in the heart of Monte Rufeno Natural Reserve, guarded area of the high Lazio (Alta Tuscia) which spreads out for about 3000 hectares till Acquapendente. 
The hilly landscape is characterised from wide oak woods and Mediterranean bush. 
Not far from the nature oasis pathways and beauties, in the gorgeous triangle of Lazio’s , between Umbria and Tuscany, just two hours from Rome and Florence by car. 
A borderland rich in art, history, culture and costumes, excellent to visit cities of art, archaeological sites and medieval villages not far off. 
Our farm holiday is the ideal place for people who love nature and animals, and to observe them in its own habitat. For keen on trekking easy walking or on cycling on a wide quite country side without any kind of motor vehicles. 
 
We’re at your complete disposal to guide you through the parc and its particular circuit. We’d like to convey you these feelings by having you as our guest. 
 
THE FARM HOUSE 
The old stone farm house, completely restored, is located on the top of Monte Rufeno hill 600 mt high. To reach it you have to go through a dirt road (about 4 km) which cross the Natural Reserve’s cultivated fields and woods and among a group pines it will appear our farm house. 
This panoramic position commands a view over the Paglia river’s valley from Radicofani to Mount Amiata till Bolsena’s lake north side. 
Within a range of 3 km just two families of farmers lives in the area. 
 
THE FLATS 
The flats placed between two floors, have a wide outside place with an independent entrance; a large living room with kitchenette divan bed , fire place and on the upper floor bed room with toilets and showers. Every flat is equipped with independent heating, kitchen, electric oven and refrigerator. 
Two of the height flats have two bedrooms, the structure can accommodate comfortably 22 people. A common living room with kitchen facility and toilets also available on request. 
The furniture are mostly old and restored; during the restoring old stone walls have been recovered and “travi” ceiling characterizes every room. 
The linen( towels and tablecloths also), the final cleaning and the fire wood are included in the stay. 
The heating depends on the consumption and the weekly cleaning is available on request.

Not far from the farm house there’s the Monte Rufeno’s excursion pathway, from which is possible to plunge oneself completely to the gorgeous and uncontaminated Monte Rufeno natural reserve landscape. At the Visitor Centre of the Natural Reserve you can also have information about guided excursions. We suggest you a visit to the two pearls, Trevinano and Torralfina on the border between Umbria and Tuscany. 
Otherwise if you’re keen on mountain biking, at your disposal there’s a trainer from the S.I.M.B. (Italian school of mountain bike) who could gives you all the information you need or take you to the numerous ways wich explore the nearby territory inside the reserve or towards the touristic places such us Sovana, Pitigliano, Bolsena, Orvieto. 
According to your abilities you can choose among nature, archaeology, history or costumes. Upon a notice of four days it will be possible to rent good quality bikes and crash helmet.
