This villa has all the main facilities, with a massive terrazzo overlooking the whole area. Finished to a high standard. Great for relaxing and touring. The house is ideally situated on a hill facing the town, with spectacular views of the valley below. On a clear day, one can see the snow capped Alps! It’s a big house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, finished with marble and parquet floors, high ceilings and has all the main facilities. The hosts Rosanna (speaks English) and Gianfranco (owns a vineyard and would be happy to supply the wine) can give you tips of where to go and what to visit. Vernasca is a medieval town on one of the famous routes (Via Francigena)that pilgrims, used to get to Rome from the rest of Europe.It’s a small town with all the main amenities. Market day is on Tuesday, but within 30mn drive there is a market for every day of the week. The vineyard area Bacedasco produces the famous Gutturnio and Ortrugo wines. Restaurants and trattorias, are excellent and off great value. Golf-swimming-horse ridding-tennis are all within easy reach. People who have stayed could not believe that there was so much to see and do. Castellarquato and Vigoleno are just a few of the many medieval castles. Salso and Tabiano,are spa towns that offer health and beauty farms. Golf courses are in abundance. For shopping ,Fidenza village outlet ,Parma and Piacenza. Emilia is a dynamic region for culture (Verdi-Toscanini-Pavarotti) fashion(Armani)engineering(Ferrari-Ducati)and much more. Well connected by airports rail or autostrada keeps you in touch with the rest of Italy. But its greatist asset are its people,so come and see for your self. The villa is beautifully finished with a nice charm, it has its own fruit trees, which the owners are happy for you to use, the gardens are pretty and well kept. The house is situated in a small town with lots of fantastic restaurants and bars close by. There is also a supermarket, chemist, banks, etc, it has all the necessities. The owners are really friendly and helpful and speak English. They own a vinyard, and make their own wine, and gave us a few bottles to try. They were helpfull in giving us tips on the best places to visit. We had a great holiday, seeing all the sights and spending time in a simply tranquil, beautiful part of Italy.'
