Vacation Rental Description
Set in a quiet and peaceful part of the island of Capri,this cottage is in Anacapri, surrounded by a lush, typical Mediterranean garden with a magnificent view of the south-western coastline of the island.  
This self-catering cottage has a shaded terrace where you can enjoy leisurely meals and also another spacious terrace on the roof with amazing views where you can have a sun-downer while watching the sun sets. 
La Terrazza has been recently refurbished and is in a typical Capri style with white-washed walls and cool light blue tiles, its windows overlook the garden and sea and it is bright and airy. There is a bedroom with a double bed and a spacious wardrobe, a bathroom with shower and in the living room there is a pullout sofa bed (one single), dining table and chairs, a fully equipped kitchen corner with gas cooker, small electric oven, fridge and sink. There is also a satellite TV and a radio/CD player. If you should need to use a washing machine there is one at your disposal together with iron and ironing board. There is a large panoramic swimming pool set into a secluded part of the garden, it overlooks the sea and is shared with the owners whose villa is built on a lower part of the grounds and does not disturb the privacy of the guests in any way. While walking down from the cottage to the pool you are welcome to enjoy the herbs, vegetables and fruit that grow on the extensive property.  
Because of the terraces and different levels this property is not suitable for children. 
The bus stop is 50 mt from the gate and a regular bus service will take you in a few minutes to Anacapri(1.5 Km and full facilities) or to the sea at the Blue Grotto, although many prefer to walk as it is not so far. 
There are really lots of things to do and see while you are staying on the island: a few minutes from the house there are the ruins of the Roman villa where the emperor Tiberius stayed set in a pine wood overlooking the bay of Naples, another spectacular walk is along the coast between the Blue Grotto and the lighthouse, with recently restored fortifications, where Lord Nelson and the French fought for the island; the chairlift to the top of the island and views of the bays of Naples and Salerno and a memorable walk back down to Anacapri through fragrant wild herbs;there are many bars and restaurants and we can give you any advice you may need.If you like we can organise a private boat trip around the island and you can swim into grottoes or picnic in isolated inlets. If you enjoy shopping practically every famous designer has a boutique on the island. 
If you also want to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius, Positano, Sorrento it is an easy ferry or jet boat across to the mainland and then you can return to the peace and quiet of the island and your cottage in the evening.

    • The cottage is set in an extensive Mediterranean garden and we invite you to pick and enjoy any of the fruit, vegetables or herbs that grow in it. There is nothing like a fresh lemon to enhance any drink or dish.There is wi-fi reception on the property.

    • The town of Anacapri, mainly pedestrian, is easily reached on foot or by bus; there are many cafès where you can enjoy a cappuccino while people-watching or restaurants offering the local dishes:Capri ravioli,seafood risotto,baked or grilled local fish,Neapolitan pizzas,Capri almond cake and naturally the local speciality:Limoncello.  
    Not far from the property there are spectacular walks along the cliffs, the ruins of a Roman villa and the Blue Grotto.  
    On the island there are also many other interesting things to do and see: the chairlift to the top of the island offering spectacular views of the Bays of Naples and Salerno, the famous Via Krupp linking Capri town with Marina Piccola, the Imperial Roman villa of Tiberius,Villa San Michele and its outdoor classical music concerts...  
    A boat trip around the island is a must with a swim through the Green Grotto.

    A deposit of 30% of the total rental is required to secure the booking and the balance must be payed 4 weeks prior to arrival. In common with most holiday arrangements, cancellation charges are payable in the event of cancellation. The charges are as follows: 30% of rental up to 30 days prior to scheduled arrival,100% of rental less than 29 days prior to scheduled arrival. Rental periods are preferably from Saturday to Saturday but can vary on request. High season is from 1st June -30th September when the swimming pool is open. Payments to be made by bank transfers. !0% discount on second week.
