This welcoming and comfortable cottage is situated slightly set back from the coast on the beautiful and unspoilt Cilento coast just outside the village of santa maria di Castellabate. The cottage was once a barn and now an attractive home tastefully decorated in Cilento rustic style with terracotta flooring with hand painted Vietri inlay. There is an open living and dining area with sofa, Satellite TV, fireplace, antique table and chairs. The cottage consists of 2 bedrooms: 1 double which has terrace doors giving onto the side terrace of the house and a twin bedroom and there is a further fold away bed available, a full bathroom with Wc, bidet, sink and shower and a service bathroom with wc, sink and washing machine, a fully equipped white tiled kitchen with kitchen table. In front of the house there is a covered terrace which gives onto a small garden, vegetable patch and lemon grove to the side whilst to the side the terrace is open. The back of the property looks to the Trezene hills where one can enjoy hiking. 
The property is enclosed by a fence and there is parking within the gate of the property. The ideal location means it offers privacy and quiet yet is within walking distance of the sandy beach approx 7 minutes walk, there is a shop selling local produce fruit vegetable and supplies just down the lane whilst a few more shops are a 10 minute walk from the villa. The main pedestrian village of Santa maria di CAstellabate is reached in a 5 minute drive

The friendly cottage provides an ideal base from which to explore the various tourist sites: the Greek Temples of Paestum, Pompei, Velia, Caserta, the Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri not to mention the nearby area within the national Park medieval villages and inland countryside untouched by mass tourism. Or if you prefer just to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside and beaches, local walk along the coast an in the hills it is also a perfect base
