Horti Japygi is a XVII century Trullo, brought back to life with a careful restoration. This secluded cottage is set amidst a peaceful plurisecular olive grove surrounded by traditional stone walls.
The distance apart from the main road makes it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean countryside.
The cottage is furnished to a high standard and is tastefully decorated with local artist creations.
The spacious living room has an impressive dome roof and a charming wall niche corner with a cast iron sofa in it. The cozy kitchen has a small fridge/freezer, a gas cooker and a lovely cast iron stove. The bathroom is modern and has a new washing machine. The two bedrooms are one with a king size and one with 2 single beds (sleeps 4 in total), and in the bedroom area there is a modern air conditioning/climatisation system to sleep comfortably in a cool environment. The patio/garden has table and chairs to enjoy meals outside, and a big sunshade umbrella.

    Horti Japygi is located within the tranquil olive groves that surround the ancient hamlet town of Ceglie Messapica.
    Its position is ideal to visit the fairy tale like Valle d’Itria, dotted with Trulli, and its enchanting towns – like Ostuni, Cisternino, Ceglie Messapica, Martina Franca, Alberobello and Locorotondo – every one of which has its own heritage and culinary traditions that will fascinate you.
    Not far are renowned cities of art like Lecce, natural beauties like the wanderful “Castelana Grotte” caves, the beaches of the Adriatic sea and the ones of the Ionian coast that with Gallipoli, the pearl of the Ionian sea, is an excellent option.
