This spacious villa has 4 large double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens (upstairs and downstairs) depending on where you want to eat and a large living room. There are full length balconies front and rear with stunning views across the open countryside. There are log fires upstairs and downstairs for Winter use, the property is fully central heated. The villa is in a quiet and tranquil location but within easy drive to supermarkets, restaurants and the market towns of Penne and Farindola famous for its pecorino cheese. Only 10 minutes drive is the WWF conservation area at the lake of Penne. This is an ideal location to tour the two National parks of Abruzzo, one of the most remote and unspoilt areas in Europe that is home to bears, wild boar and wolves, in the Spring and Summer months you will see eagles and buzzards circling in the thermals above the surrounding countryside. Local gastronomic delights are the cheeses, arrosticini and the excellent Montepulciano d' Abruzzo wines.
There are log fires upstairs and downstairs and also central heating for the Winter months, we keep a large supply of logs that can be bought at cost price. The house has thick walls, double glazing and shutters, this will keep the house warm in the Winter and also help to keep it cool in the Summer. The property can be let as a whole unit for 8 people or split, 2 in the downstairs apartment and 6 in the upstairs accommodation. There are two additional TVs and DVD players that can be placed in the bedrooms of your choice. The area is safe for children as there is very little traffic apart from the odd tractor.
The ground floor apartment would be suitable for wheelchair access although there would be no wheelchair access into the shower cubicle.

- Travel Info: Ryan air fly direct to Pescara from Stansted. Pescara airport is about 45 minutes drive to the villa, it is also possible to fly to Ancona, about 2 hours drive away. There are numerous budget airlines that fly into Rome including Ryan air and Easy jet, Rome is an easy 2.5 hours drive, a large portion being on the empty autostrada and then the scenic S81 a panoramic route in all seasons. Car hire is simple and reasonably priced at all the airports when booked online.
