Main Description

The house has been built during around the last 4 centuries by the different owners, starting from the 17th. It is a rural white stone building and also the furniture is coherent to the same "shepherd" style.
It is split into 2 separate apartments that the owner could rent as a whole or as 2 different units. The largest one has a huge kitchen/living room with a very big fireplace, two double bedrooms and one bathroom (other 2 beds are available in the living room). The second one has one kitchen with fireplace, one double bedroom, one living room (with other 2 beds availble) and a bathroom.
Both share the same large garden that merge directly into the Maiella National Park (http://www.parcomajella.it): our edge is the edge of the Park!
The "panorama" is simply amazing! You see Maiella, Morrone and Gran Sasso peaks and all the Pescara Valley (some days down to the sea) and, in particular at night, the view is fascinating.
Be aware that it is not a luxury home, but it is clean and it has all the basic needed things for a comfortable holiday.
Here you can of course enjoy the real life of Abruzzo, one of the most interesting and less known Italian regions.

Roccamorice is one of the most famous place where climbing in all central Italy.
Who's intereseted in middleage art, could find many precious treasures in churchs and museums of the nearby as well as those who are interested in going deeper into the history of the catholic hermits which build amazing retreats during the 12th and 13th centuries, that you may reach by car or (the best ones) with short and/or long walks.
Of course flora and fauna discovering is one of the best activity you can do here, simply with binoculars and a good patience!
Another interesting characteristics of the area, is the "tholos": it is a small circular building with stones where the shepherd coming during summer from Apulia used to live. You've never seen nothing similar!
