Belvedere HousePicture of Belvedre House Belvedere House Gardens & Park can be discovered on the shores of Lough Ennell and just 4 miles from Mullingar in Co. Westmeath. The Estate comprises of 160 acres of parkland with 6kms of magnificent woodland and lakeshore walks. Tullnally Castle Tullnally Castle has been owned by the Earl of Longford Family since the 17th century. Terraced lawns around the castle overlook superb 18th century parkland. The adjoining woodland gardens and walled gardens date largely from the same period and encompass a grotto of eroded limestone from nearby Lough Derravaragh and two ornamental lakes. Other attractions to see near Mullingar are Locke's Distillery Museum and the Railway Bog Tour.

Fishing
Fishing is one of the main leisure activites that occur around Mullingar. Mullingar is a very busy and well established major Game and Coarse angling centre. It is surrounded by some of the countries prime angling waters, including the Midland Trout Loughs. This is due to the Lakes that surrounding the area. As the Shannon goes through WestMeath there are many lakes to fish from.

Golf
Mullingar Golf Club is one of Ireland's oldest and finest parkland golf courses.The Mullingar Golf Club is only a couple of kilometers from Keadeen B&B. It is renouned for its silky greens and friendly Club House.

Horse Trekking
There is the Mullingar Equestrian Centre just outside mullingar with excellent teachers for all levels. There is excellect trekking tracks in the area. There is horses available to suit all levels from beginner to expert rider. Robert Fagan, the centre manager, is one of the most talented and successful showjumpers Ireland has had.

• Travel Info: From Dublin / Sligo: Take the Castlepollard exit on the M5 (Mullingar By-Pass) and follow the signs for Mullingar.. Drive approximately 1.5 miles until the county hospital is on your left hand side. This is a T junction with a mini roundabout. Turn right. Then take the 2nd left and you are in Irishtown. Go approximately 150 yards and just over the top of the hill you will find Keadeen B&B on your left hand side. From Mullingar Town: Follow the signs for Castlepollard and Fore. Keep going until the county hospital is on your right hand side. Take the second left after the hospital. Go approximately 150 yards and just over the top of the hill you will find Keadeen B&B on your left hand side.
