There are two very attractive beaches nearby, Rathlacken and Ballycastle, one of which is only a five minutes walk. The property is also close to the Balinaglen Art Centre in Ballycastle for artists.
This architect designed cottage features a large Lacken stone fireplace in its large double height living room complete with sleeping loft, two no cast iron stoves suitable for burning turf or wood and a large south facing patio with an outdoor seating area overlooking beautiful gardens and the sea.This home is available for painting holidays. The Ballycastle, County Mayo area
The property is located on the North West Mayo Coast half way between Ballycastle and Killala.
Areas of special interest: Patrick Head Round Tower and other ancient monastic settlements around Killala such as the Ceide Fields, pre-historic farming area with interpretive centre, seaweed baths in Enniscrone and Links golf course. There is also the Ballinglen Arts Centre in Ballycastle and the Museum for Country Living in Castlebar.
