Situated at the foot of the Slieve Mountains, the lovely village of Annascaul is located on the beautiful Dingle Peninsula. This charming little settlement offers a good range of shops, pubs and eateries, and benefits from a mild climate throughout the year due to the passing Gulf Stream. The incredible countryside makes this a wonderful spot for walkers, especially as the famed Dingle Way winds through Annascaul itself, down towards Inch Strand - a three mile strip of beach offering great water sports and a range of wildlife spotting opportunities. This lovely little village also boasts a number of fairs and festivals throughout the year, including the annual walking festival in October. With freshwater fishing available on Annascaul River and on Annascaul Lake as well as sea fishing on the peninsula, the town is also a great spot for fishermen.
