Ned Darcy's Cottage is a wonderful detached cottage 2.5 miles from Oughterard in County Galway. This quality cottage has a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, tucked next to a mezzanine balcony up a bespoke wrought iron spiral staircase. The open plan living area has a modern kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area with lovely pot-bellied woodburning stove. Outside is a pleasant garden and off road parking for two cars. Lough Corrib, with many boat trips and fishing, is 2.5 miles away, and The Western Walk runs right outside Ned Darcy's Cottage, making it an ideal retreat for walkers and those just seeking peace and quiet.

The village of Oughterard is found in the west of Ireland on the shores of Lough Corrib, at the start of the Connemara Mountain range and close to the Connemara Way. Home to the Oughterard championship golf course and Aughnanure Castle, there are lots of things to see and do, and as it is located next to Lough Corrib, Oughterard is perfect for lovers of fishing. Just a short drive away in Roscahil is the pretty Brigit's Garden; with four main gardens and places to play, sit and relax, this is a great day out for all the family. Only 10 miles from Oughterard lies Galway City, where you can discover some of Ireland's long and varied history; visit Lynch's Castle, or trace the origin of the famous Claddagh Ring, which originated in a village near the shore of Galway Bay

This property does not accept short breaks. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. Change Over Day : Sat Winter Short Breaks are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period. Extra nights are charged pro rata. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods. A 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date. Last Minute Breaks (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'Low', 'Mid', 'High', 'Peak', 'Christmas' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. A 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date.
