Another place of unique beauty is Lough Coolin, a small lake set like a glittering gem in the foothills of Mount Gable, just 3 miles from Clonbur. For the more adventurous, Mount Gable is an easy climb of about one hour's duration. The effort is worthwhile because the views of Lough Corrib, stretching away to the south, Lough Mask to the north and the Connemara mountains to the west, are spectacular and breathtaking. Alternatively, a short drive towards Cong and a turn right will bring you to the famous Pigeon Hole, the site where 66 steps in a huge cleft in the limestone floor of the Ashford Castle woods lead to a vast underwater cavern. This contains one of the many underground streams that flow from Lough Mask to Lough Corrib.

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
