Vacation Rental Description
This is a large family home with character as it is a private dwelling most of the year. There is plenty of living space so visitors are able to use different parts of the house for peace and quiet.
There is a large kitchen/dining room with two tables, one for children if necessary. There is a separate TV room with dvd player and also a sitting room leading on to a small conservatory. Also a utility room with washing machine and dryer.
There are 5 bedrooms, 3 with double beds and 2 singles. There is plenty of floor space for extra children. One double bedroom is downstairs beside the toilet and shower room, this has proved useful for older people or those with limited mobility. The bathroom with toilet is upstairs.
The views are wonderful and the garden is large and wild and very private. It is just one mile to the village of Spiddal and the beach is at the bottom of the road, a half-mile or 10-15 minute walk.

Wood stove in the kitchen/dining room and open fire in the sitting room. Electric heaters for instant heat if necessary.
There is an upright piano in the sitting room.
Once again, great views of Galway bay from most windows and Connemara landscape from the rest.

The house is less than one kilometer from the beach, half a mile away, and the area is ideal for any nature activity. Spiddal is a lively small village which is also part of the Connemara Gaeltacht, where Irish/Gaelic is the native languge although everyone is bi-lingual. It is the gateway to Connemara, famous for it's wild and beautiful landscape, near the port for the Aran Islands and looking over to The Burren in County Clare, another beautiful and totally different landscape to be discovered.
Galway is 18 kilometeres or 12 miles away. It is an extremely lively small city with numerous festivals during the Summer months i.e., Arts Festival, Film Festival, Cuirt Poetry Festival and The Galway Horse Racing Festival among others. It is the Music Capital of Ireland where you'll hear the best of Irish and other music. All of the above activities can be found in the area of Galway/Spiddal/Connemara plus a lot more.
