3 Bedroom Cottage in Mallow

Located near the village of Castletownroche offering a choice of pubs and restaurant. 
Close to Killavullen and the ancestral home of the world famous Hennessy Cognac Family and within walking distance of Bridgetown Priory.  
 
The Sand Cottage is decorated in ultra modern style, its brightly coloured walls and fabrics giving a vibrant feel. The living area of this cottage is open plan, with the open fire as the focal point in the winter. For our summer visitors the french doors to the gardens offer a panoramic view of the Nagle mountains and the lush Blackwater valley. The straight lines of the bedroom furniture give a sense of space. Two of the bedrooms have TV sockets if guests wish to bring along an extra set. The master bedroom has an air of spring with its daisy prints while the double room exudes sophistication. On arrival, as with all our cottages, you will receive a tea tray with home baking, and a starter supply of coal and logs. 
 
The conservatory/games room is an ideal extra living area. We have books of local interest for you to peruse. In particular, 'Glenanaar' by Cannon Sheehan is worth a browse, after which you can visit the Glenanaar area to explore for yourself the area where this exciting and fierce history unfolded. 
 
Play golf (Mallow, Fermoy and Doneraile within 12klm, clay pidgeon shoot, wake board. 
Killavullen Farmers Market is a must for our guests. The Farm Cottages are centrally situated to explore Cork, Killarney, Limerick, Cashel, Lismore and Waterford. 
 
John and Gertrude welcome you to experience our way of life. The cottage is attached to our working dairy farm, ideal for children and pets. Farm tours are free to our guests who are welcome to help at calf feeding time. Bird and animal watchers can sit in the garden or by the river bank where there is an abundance of flora and fauna.  
On site amenities include riverbank walk, a full sized tennis court, children’s play area, a mini soccer pitch and pool tables. We are happy to arrange angling for our guests.

• Travel Info: Directions To The Farm Cottages From Dublin, Cork, Rinaskiddy Port and Rosslare Port, come to Fermoy town, take N72 towards Mallow. Drive through Ballyhooley village, continue for two miles, take a left at the sign for Bridgetown Priory, drive through the next cross roads, take the second left to farmhouse. From Limerick, Kerry Airport and Mallow: At Mallow drive through the town, take the N72 heading for Fermoy, drive 9 miles, on right you will see a petrol station " Top ". Drive past it and take right directly after the station, then the next left, take the second right to farmhouse.
