Vacation Rental Description

Situated on a hillside overlooking the village of Ladysbridge the bungalow has glorious mountain views and is set in half an acre of well maintained gardens.
Ladysbridge is within easy access (25 miles) of Cork Airport and Ringaskiddy ferry port and lies just off the N25 main road between Cork and Waterford/Rosslare at Castlemartyr. The village has a mini-market, garage, post-office, garden centre and pub and is an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside and nearby beaches of Ballycotton and Youghal Bays.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed and spacious en-suite with walk -in shower, toilet and washbasin. Bedroom 2 has twin beds. Both bedrooms have ample storeage for clothes. The family bathroom has an electric shower over the bath, toilet and washbasin.
The fully equipped kitchen/diner has everything you need and has wonderful views of the mountains.
The cosy lounge has an open fire,Satellite TV/DVD and video, CD player. There is a good selection of DVD's, CD's, videos and books. Off the lounge there is a comfortable sun lounge which enjoys great views and catches the wonderful sunsets.
All bedlinen, duvets (winter and summer weights), towels,electricity and gas are included in the rental price.
Outside,the property has patio areas on three sides to appreciate the glorious views or enjoy a relaxing breakfast/lunch,a decking area which catches the sun from mid-day until sunset and a barbeque. The half acre garden is laid mainly to lawn and there is an orchard area.
Midleton (which is home to Jameson's Whisky Distillery) is only 15 minutes drive away and enjoys a great weekly farmers' market and there are other farmers markets in neighbouring towns. Traditional music can be heard in local bars and the area generally enjoys a great selection of restaurants to suit all budgets.
There are many interesting places to visit and many are well within an hour's drive eg. Cork City, Blarney Castle, Cobh (the last port of call or the Titanic), Youghal, Ardmore etc. Further afield there is Kinsale (Ireland's gourmet capital), Lismore, Waterford, Killarney/Kenmare (gateway to the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara).

The kitchen/diner has a cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and drier, ample crockery/cutlery, toaster, kettle, iron/board etc. There is ample parking. The property enjoys an open fire in the lounge in addition to gas central heating and an immersion heater. There is a strict no-smoking policy and unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets as we border onto farmland which frequently has livestock in it.

GOLF - there is a vibrant local golf scene with no fewer than 10 eighteen-hole courses within 20 mins. drive of Fota Island Golf Club. Fota Island has been the home of the Murphy's Irish Open and boasts a challenging 18 hole par 72 championship course and is gateway to some of the most famous and spectacular golf links and courses in south-west Ireland

SEA,LAKE and RIVER FISHING are just a short drive away. Sea fishing charter boats can be found at Ballycotton and Youghal

HORSERIDING - there is a riding school within 15 mins. drive

COOKERY - Shanagarry which is only 10 min. drive away is the home of the world famous Ballymaloe Cookery School which offers a wide range of courses and cookery demonstrations

CASTLES - there are many within an hours drive - perhaps the most famous being Blarney Castle with its Blarney Stone

STATELY HOMES - Fota House and Bantry House are well worth a visit

Ladysbridge is within easy access (25 miles) of both Cork International Airport and also Ringaskiddy Ferry Port, and lies just off the N25 Cork - Waterford/Rosslare road at Castlemartyr.

Rosslare Ferry Port is just over a 2 hours drive.
